Earl Ofari Hutchinson: Fonda Should Apologize for Gutter Name Call of Hillary - The Huffington Post

Oh Huffington, is there no level of hypocrisy that you won't stoop to?  Now the very LAST person on Earth I would defend would be Jane Fonda...ok maybe Osama Bin Laden last, but right before him would be Jane Fonda.  So when she spouts off about Hillary Clinton, calling her a "ventriloquist for the patriarchy with a skirt and a vagina.", I laugh and think nothing of it.

Why?  Because Jane Fonda enjoys that right as an American citizen.  One that was given to her even though she spits in the face of soldiers of those who've given that right to her.  As vile as she is, she still has that right.

But Huffington Post writer Earl Hutchison thinks she should apologize.  Why?  The point of an apology is because you've said or done something that you don't mean and you generally feel that you didn't mean what you said or did.

THAT'S the point of an apology, not to appease someone who got offended, not to smooth things over with people around you, but for your own personal reasons.

Hell, even the first poster of the article noticed the hypocrisy:

"So it's OK to do it to republicans, but Hillary is off limits?"

No it's not ok when you do it to Republicans but not Democrats.  But folks at Huffington don't see it that way.  They have absolutely no problem calling Republicans some of the worst names in the book, yet when Hillary has gotten off fairly light with a comment of "ventriloquist for the patriarchy with a skirt and a vagina." there are calls for apologies?

Man up Earl, there's larger problems to be fixed than hurt feelings.  If you have an issue, go grab a tissue.
