Gas Prices Rise As Democrats Are Powerless To Stop It

Of course Democrats have promised that they'd "do something" about the rising gas prices during their campaign speeches, but what have they accomplished? Let's take a look.

They passed legislation that would take back some of the tax incentives that oil companies enjoy. While that looks good on paper, do they really think that if the legislation becomes law that the oil companies won't simply pass that additional cost onto consumers? Think $3.25 and up for a price of regular unleaded gas. Even the Manager of public and goverment affairs at the AAA tends to agree. "You have feel-good legislation, but at the end of the day it doesn't really alleviate the burden or change anything right away."

"By investing in American ingenuity, Democrats will accelerate the implementation of existing clean, energy-efficient technologies," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California said Jan. 18, when her chamber passed the bill.

Really Nancy? How about we take a peek at what a small French company has built? They built a car that runs on compressed air. That would eliminate our oil dependence completely. We produce enough oil to allow industries to continue to flourish, and the additional electrical requirements for this car wouldn't be a much bigger burden on our public utility providers. Hell, you could purchase a couple of solar cells and hook them up to your existing home's electrical system to offset the amount of electricity that an air powered car would need.

It's not really difficult Nancy, just take a look around, find ideas that work, and implement them. As soon as this air powered car comes into the US, I plan on looking at one and if it fits my needs (which it looks like it does on paper), I plan on picking one up.
