McCain Blasts Anti-Surge Resolution

I'm glad there are at least a few people finally starting to see that the increase in soldiers is the correct decision. What I find even nicer is that John McCain called those who supported the resolution "intellectually dishonest".

“I do believe that if you really believe that this is doomed to failure and is going to cost American lives, then you should do what’s necessary to prevent it from happening rather than a vote of ’disapproval,”’ McCain said.

“This is a vote of no confidence in both the mission and the troops who are going over there,” he said, noting the proposal does not seek to cut off money for troops.

He's basically bringing up the same points that I have in the past. A resolution that's non binding is a pussy way out and that if Democrats were serious about the issue, they'd do something about it rather then complain like they usually do. There's a lot of things I disagree with John McCain about, but he's dead on with this issue.
