So when 9/11 and Katrina happened, Muslims said that it was God's will and that we deserved those disasters. Yet, Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia, the largest Muslim populated country in the world, is in the middle of some nasty flooding. 38 dead and 430,000 homeless. But we don't see Christians/Jewish/Buddhists telling these people that it was God's will that they got this disaster and that they deserved to have their homes and lives washed away.
Why? Because we recognize that people need help after disasters. We offer out our hand in friendship and general humanity to help them get back on their feet. What do we get in return? Shit like this. Even after we helped Iran after an earthquake that killed 80,000 people, we get a knife in the back. It's high time that people started learning a little bit of respect and gratitude for the things that the US has done for humanitarian aid over the last few decades. Want to protest against us and burn our flag in the middle of your streets? Fine, enjoy the rubble where your homes used to be when the next natural disaster strikes.
