So, Italian prosecutors want the extradition of 26 American CIA agents and their 5 Italian counterparts for the kidnapping of an Egyptian cleric that was suspected of terrorism? Sorry to our Italian friend, but fat chance on that. This is what the CIA is SUPPOSED to do. They are supposed to snatch people who wage war against us. They are supposed to extract information from them. They are supposed to protect us against the bad guys and sometimes when they do, they do it under the cloak of secrecy. I doubt very highly that the CIA would go to the trouble of snatching a person like this without having a ton of evidence suggesting that he was into bad things.
The Italians were involved with this kidnapping every step of the way. To tell you the truth, I'm glad the CIA still does things like this. It lets me know that they are still capable of all that cloak and dagger stuff you see in the movies, instead of their current reputation as a washed up bureaucracy. I'm glad that they haven't turned into a bunch of pussies that let political correctness get in the way of getting bad guys out of the picture.
