A California woman who escaped from a Michigan prison more than 30 years ago and remade her life as a suburban mother of three is "extremely uncomfortable" back behind bars and wants to move the case through the courts as quickly as possible, her attorney said Monday.
LeFevre has not been physically threatened, he said, but everyone knows her background at Scott Correctional Facility in Plymouth.
"She's extremely uncomfortable. ... She's been reminded she's the suburban" mom, Swor told reporters. "There are staff that are extraordinarily kind. There are staff that are singling her out for special attention.
"There's nowhere she can go to be alone. There's nowhere she can go to get peace," the attorney said.
WHAT?!?! You mean prison isn't some country club, kiss your ass and make it comfortable too place?? We've been lied to people! We've been told that prison is a comfy place where you can sit on your ass all day long and watch TV.
God, perhaps dealing heroin wasn't such an good idea eh? Perhaps, now follow me here, it'll get complicated. Perhaps, if you followed the law and didn't become a drug dealer and escape from prison, you'd be sitting at home this very second enjoying the life you've built for yourself.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to hit the gym here in a few hours, and head home to my nice, big screen TV and my comfortable bed.
The sound you are hearing is the whining from Ms. LeFevre and the world's smallest violin playing in the background.
