The Truth And Tact

A controversial billboard in Orange County has a picture of the burning World Trade Center and the message, "Please Don't Vote for a Democrat." The man who paid for the ad says he's trying to help Republicans, but officials with both political parties are calling the billboard inappropriate.

Tasteless?  You bet.  Truthful?  Sort of.  Democrats have a well earned reputation for being soft on terrorism, so the message is the same, but there's a difference between saying "Democrats are soft on terrorism" and "If you vote for them, you will die from Islamic cocksuckers".

Plus, do you think this will win over voters?  Show them your voting record vs. theirs.  Generally speaking, that in of itself will win you votes more then anything else.

This will just tug on people's raw emotions and piss a lot of people off.  But, of course, Democrats won't denounce ads such as the infamous "General BetrayUs" ad.

It's called hypocrisy.  I try to avoid it whenever I can.
