Obama: Bin Laden still free because of GOP tactics

Democrat Barack Obama says he'll take no lectures from Republicans on who will keep America safer. GOP rival John McCain's campaign criticized Obama Tuesday for speaking approvingly of the successful prosecution of terrorists.

A McCain aide said, "Obama is a perfect manifestation of a September 10th mind-set" and does not understand the dangers posed by U.S. adversaries.

Obama told reporters that the Republicans have no "standing to suggest that they've learned a lot of lessons from 9-11."

He said they "helped to engineer the distraction of the war in Iraq at a time when we could have pinned down the people who actually committed 9-11." He said Osama bin Laden is still at large in part because of their failed strategies.

So you'd like the gloves to come off?  Ok.  Let's take a look at your partisan attack.  Rather then taking action against Bin Laden in the 90's AFTER he had attacked Americans, Democrats were too consumed with their boy Clinton's blowjobs to give a shit about him.  There were literally a DOZEN times when we had him in our sights and Clinton allowed him to go, one time to allow a financial deal to go through.

This isn't according to some conspiracy theorist.  This is according to Michael Scheuer, Chief of the Bin Laden unit at the CIA from 1996-1999.

I would have leveled Afghanistan and tortured everyone involved to get at Bin Laden.  But YOU and your Democratic friends want to take the pussy way out and give these vermin rights, which THEY DON'T HAVE and treat them like human beings, which they are not.

You speak of talking to enemies, you show signs of a willingness to appease those who threaten Americans.  You surround yourself with hate mongers, then lie to the American public and make it sound like it's stuff that you've just heard like everyone else.

You talk the talk, but you fail to "walk the walk".  You right pretty speeches, but are AWOL when it comes to doing your job as a Senator to protect ordinary Americans from those who wish to exploit our free society.

You speak of scare tactics, but you don't have the spine to stand up to threats yourself.  When was the last time you had to make a tough decision that effected the lives of millions?

Iraq was a threat.  Not a lot of people want to believe that.  With plans of terrorist attacks in the works against America on it's own soil, WMD reports, and Saddam's know hatred of the US, it's pretty easy to see why we went the way we went.  There is no "losing" Iraq, we've already won.  We DECIMATED them in a matter of months.  Al-Qaeda members went to Iraq and were slaughtered by the thousands.  They thought they'd take the easy route and try to kill Americans, but they didn't count on US soldiers fighting back.  They didn't count on the American public not giving a shit that they were trying to kill others.

If you'd like to talk about generalizations, then let's do that.  Democrats have a well known lack of spine and are weak against the threat of crime, terrorism, and anything that requires resolve.  Democrats like you, who cower in the fact of making tough decisions and sticking by them, are the lowest form of politician.  The "Monday morning quarterback" who second guesses everything that real leaders do.

You yourself said "What I am opposed to is the cynical attempt by Richard Perle and Paul Wolfowitz and other arm-chair, weekend warriors in this Administration to shove their own ideological agendas down our throats, irrespective of the costs in lives lost and in hardships borne."

A tad hypocritical don't you think?

But here's where you get sloppy:

Now let me be clear – I suffer no illusions about Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal man. A ruthless man. A man who butchers his own people to secure his own power. He has repeatedly defied UN resolutions, thwarted UN inspection teams, developed chemical and biological weapons, and coveted nuclear capacity.

He’s a bad guy. The world, and the Iraqi people, would be better off without him.

So, the world would be better off without him, he's slaughtered hundreds of thousands of people, AND WAS a threat to the US, yet you're willing to do nothing about it.

Bin Laden is free today because he's been lucky, nothing more.
