So, you want to be a McCain Democrat?

Some people on the other side of the spectrum have differing opinions, and I can respect that and can even see how they could come to the conclusions that they have.

Then there's this nutjob from the NY Times (Why am I not surprised)

AN ALARMING number of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton supporters are telling pollsters they won't support the Democratic ticket if their candidate doesn't win the party's nomination. This, my friends, could mean four more years of Bushist backwardness.

Look before you jump. Democrats thinking of voting for John McCain should ask themselves if they want a hot-tempered, right-wing Republican in the White House - keeping his foot on the gas in Iraq, sentencing women to illegal abortions, and pouring cement around President Bush's tax cuts for the rich.

Wow, really?  Sentencing women to illegal abortions?  How the hell did you come to this conclusion?  Regardless of what you think, the President can't just declare laws, it needs to go through Congress and signed into law.  Perhaps taking an elementary school class on government might help clear things up.  But, since it's obvious you can't seem to grasp that, I'll give you a quick cartoon that'll help:

There ya go buddy, that should help you understand.  At least it made a generation of 6 year olds understand how it works, so I'll just assume that you will to.

A Republican in Republican's clothing. McCain is, my friends, a Republican, a self-described "foot soldier in the Reagan Revolution." He voted against expanding the children's health insurance program and against an assault rifle ban.

Well let's see here, a politician votes down a massive spending increase, and yet, here we are months later and Democrats are trying to paint it as they voted the entire thing down across the board.  Let me explain something to you.  If someone says "yes, 10% increase is ok."  Then you ask for 140% increase, you can't twist it around when that person votes it down.  That's misleading the public.  You know...lying.

Stiff the little guy, save the big boys. He's against the federal government helping thousands of people who lost homes in the subprime mortgage debacle. But he's OK with the Federal Reserve lending $30 billion to salvage Bear Stearns.

You've just proven McCain's point.  I'd like to thank you for that.  People who make bad business decisions don't deserve a bailout.  Period.  However, he's ok with the Reserve LOANING a company $30 billion to get themselves out of their hole.

It's a LOAN.  It's not a bailout.  A bailout would be simply giving money away.  For example, if you are down on your luck and I give you $1,500 to make your mortgage payment, I'm bailing you out.  However, if I expect that $1,500 back WITH INTEREST, then it's a loan.

Let's stop with the misleading, down right lying "opinion" piece you've done here.  Stick to the truth, Americans will love you for being so different.
