Ok, let's all do the folks at Daily Kos a favor and tell them to get off of Obama's cock shall we?
Just when I'm becoming so tired of this endless campaign.
Just when I start to worry that maybe Obama blew it a little bit.
Just when I start to forget why he's gotten this far, and wonder how effectively he can respond to what could easily be a terrible "gaffe".
I see this video from Halperin's The Page under the headline COUNTERPUNCH:
"When people suggest that I sound elitist and demean hunters, when I have repeatedly talked about the tradition that people pass on from generation to generation. Hunters and sportsmen, and how I have consistently spoken about my respect for the Second Amendment, when people try to suggest that I was demeaning those traditions, then it sounds like there's some politics that's being played"
Umm...Wrong Mr. Obama. You yourself have shown that when you are being beaten about with your stances on the Second Amendment, you only have yourself to blame.
For example:
You wanted to limit gun purchases to 1 gun per month. In what world does that make any sense?
You wanted to ban semi-automatics. So are we supposed to go back to muskets Mr. Obama? What happens if a frightened victim misses when they fire upon their assailants? Looks like it's reloading or recocking time. That's precious seconds that can mean the difference between a bad guy dying and a good guy dying.
How brilliant is that? I mean, this guy is good. I would have loved to have been in the crowd for this one, as he was on top of his game as I haven't seen him be in a while. Fresh, vibrant, visceral, effective. I wish I knew what that person in the crowd said toward the end of the video. He asks, hears the answer, chuckles, but doesn't repeat it and moves on.
Counterpunch indeed.
This isn't exactly what I would call "brilliant".
