No deal reached on Michigan revote

Sen. Hillary Clinton's bid for the White House suffered a blow Thursday when Michigan's state Senate adjourned without passing a bill to schedule a new Democratic primary.

The Senate's inaction makes it nearly impossible that a revote will occur.

Michigan held a primary in January, but the Democratic National Committee stripped the state of its delegates for scheduling the contests too early.

Well, you break the rules, you suffer the consequences for it.  And now, Hillary's bid for the Democratic nomination just got a little more difficult.

Clinton blamed Obama for holding up the revote. On Wednesday, she challenged Obama to join her in supporting the plan.

"Sen. Obama speaks passionately on the trail about empowering American people. Today, I am urging him to match those words with actions to make sure people of Michigan and Florida have a voice and a vote in this election," Clinton said at a campaign rally in Detroit, Michigan.

"This is a crucial test [for Obama] -- does he mean what he says or not?"

It's nice to see her call him out for this, but it just appears like she's playing the blame game and is hoping to get Michigan to get their votes counted because she needs these votes now more than ever.  If she was in the lead, you can bet your ass that Obama would be screaming for the revote and Hillary wouldn't give a crap less.

Then of course, we'd have the idiots on the Internet saying how this is racist or how she's disenfranchising voters, etc.  But because Barack is popular and winning, everyone except Hillary's camp seems to care about Michigan and Florida.

However, rules are rules.  And you need to stand by them, otherwise you have chaos.
