Saudi Arabia Saying "No"

I recently spoke of President Bush's proposed $20 billion dollar military weapons deal with Saudi Arabia.  However, all we got was a poke in the eye from the Saudis on the subject of oil prices.  So I wrote to my Congressman:

Mr. Baird,

President Bush has been in Saudi Arabia and has offered them a $20 billion dollar military weapons deal.  During that time, President Bush asked Saudi Arabia to increase production of oil to help lower the cost of gasoline to ordinary Americans.

He was told "no"

So, I ask that you vote down the proposed military deal with Saudi Arabia because they clearly are not acting in our interests, so we should not act in theirs.  If they need the smart bomb technology, then perhaps they should fund the research and development labs with the money they got from selling us oil.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Travis

I HIGHLY suggest that you all write to your Congressmen and women and ask them to vote down this military deal.  The Saudi's have been fair weather friends at best, and if they want to have all this weaponry to combat Iran and Israel, then they can pay for it themselves.

Here is a way to find the contact information for your Congressman/woman to let them know how you feel.
