Introductions

Hello fellow lunatics! Thought I would drop a line and introduce myself. As Travis has said I am a veteran of the U.S.Navy. I spent four years on an Amphibious Assault Ship, U.S.S. Kearsarge (LHD-3) to be exact, I then spent two years in the Navy Reserve with the SeaBees. I have met the men & women who are on the ground fighting the war on terror. Their job is a difficult and dangerous one, they have my respect and sincerest thanks.

A little about my background. I was raised in a conservative household in my teens I wavered but then as I was traveling around the world I saw the the effect of overly liberal governments. I decided that I never wanted to live like that. So I now spread the word(as it were) about the value of dissenting voices in government. I am quite dismayed that the left side of the conversation is marching in lockstep with strict adherence to the party line, hmmmm sounds like some other political ideologies doesn't it? Oh well that is the the way I see it. I'll put the soap box away for a little while.
