Clinton seeks to smooth relations with Obama

Former President Bill Clinton said he might have gone too far in attacking Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton said on Friday, adding that both Democratic presidential campaigns should focus on issues. The image “http://www.all4humor.com/images/files/Scary%20Hillary%20Clinton.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

"He said several times yesterday that maybe he got a little bit carried away," Hillary Clinton said on CBS' "Early Show."

In other words, now that I've spit out a bunch of things that I wanted, I now want to "smooth things over".

Plus, Bill's doing all the talking because it's easy for him to avoid responsibility for saying these things instead of Hillary taking the brunt end of it.  Make no mistake, the Clinton's are a ruthless bunch of politicians, and they will play any card they can to win.  Obama was right on this one:  Hillary will say anything and change nothing.

Plus, it's really slimy to say nasty things, then turn around and say "I want to focus on the issues".  If you wanted to do that, you wouldn't have said the nasty things in the first place.  If you cannot be trusted to keep your cool when running against another American, how can we trust you to keep your cool when you are President?
