You mean the UN is actually starting to pick up their end and start to be more responsible? Nah, it couldn't be.
Talks between U.N. envoy Ibrahim Gambari and Myanmar's secretive military leader were stalled for another day on Monday.
Gambari had planned to tell him, "about the international outrage over what has happened and will urge him to talk with various people and try to resolve the problems peacefully," Shari Villarosa, chargé d'affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Yangon, told CNN on Sunday.
What do you expect? The UN isn't going to do much of anything, and I must admit, It'll be a pretty hard sell to me to want to do anything with China, Russia, and the UN basically doing a big, fat nothing about it.
You know, just for once, I'd love to see one of those above mentioned entities do something BEFORE the US or before it hits the front pages of CNN. Just for shits and giggles, come on guys, let's see you get off your asses and do something right for once. Come on, surprise me just once.
