Hello,
I have completed my first podcast (Hooray for me!), and I am putting it up on the site as we speak. The topic of the podcast is the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. As promised in the podcast, here's a link to the article I was speaking about and the lies that this "journalist" is telling:

Here's a direct link to the podcast:

I will be adding my podcasts to iTunes as soon as possible. I will also add support for podcasting clients so that everyone can listen in as much as they'd like.
Since it was my first podcast, I imagine there are some places where things can be improved, but things will get better with time, I promise.

It is good to put a voice to the words. I'm not sure if you really believe the rhetoric you say however. Surely your daily unquestioning defence of the right-wing agenda must get a little wearisome?
ReplyDeleteWhat are your views on Bush's administration? do you think he is a true conservative?
Callide!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! You constantly question my beliefs, but true to form, they are indeed what I believe. Not that I believe everything that th e Republican Party stands for. For example, I don't particularly care if gay folks get married. It doesn't effect my life or my rights, so I don't care.
As for Bush? I don't think he's a "true" conservative in many areas. For example, he's spending money like there's a money tree in the White House garden. He's not trying to actively end the war in Iraq (at least from outwardly appearances). He's trying to get "big government" involved in everyone's lives.
These things are a danger to Republicans and Americans in general. I want our country to be flush with cash that has real value. I want this country to finish up the war in Iraq, however, I do want Iraq on it's feet before that time. I want the government to be as minimal as possible. I don't want them trying to tell me everything I can and can't do.
Good answer? :)

So who do you feel will best achieve this objective in the coming election? Romney? McCain? Thompson? or do you think Giuliani will change his tune to appease the evangelicals?
ReplyDelete(perhaps your vote will even go to Ron Paul, eh?)
Unfortunately, none of the current crop of candidates stands out in my mind. I like Guiliani on a lot of levels, but his blatant disregard for the Second Amendment is troubling at best. With a Democratically controlled Congress, I feel that Gun Control advocates would have an easier time getting legislation through and Guiliani leads me to believe he'd sign off on something like that.
ReplyDeleteAll the others seem to be jockeying for position with the right to life folks and the evangelical Christians. While I don't really care one way or another about a person's religion, I need someone who's not going to allow their religious beliefs interfere with American values.
For example, the Supreme Court has upheld the right to a woman getting an abortion. Yet, you still see people trying to get that overturned. The Supreme Court has the final say in these matters.
Guiliani has said recently that he supports a Constitutional amendment against gay marriage. Even though it's illegal for the government to discriminate against someone based upon various things like race, religion, sex, and age.
Plus, the Republican Party is SUPPOSED to be the party of limited government. If you're for limited government, you shouldn't be interfering with the lives of gay people who want to get married. But that's my whole take on it. :)
You know Callide, if you'd like, I'd be happy to have you as an occasional writer here if you'd like. I always welcome differing opinions.
