Pelosi wavers on Armenia resolution - Politics - MSNBC.com

Democrat Nancy Pelosi's pledge of a new direction took a detour when she fumbled an Armenian genocide resolution and raised questions about her leadership as the highest ranking member of the U.S. Congress.

Pelosi, 67, speaker of the House of Representatives and next in line to the presidency after the vice president, swore she would push the controversial resolution to a vote, then blinked when some fellow Democrats withdrew their support in the face of furious reaction from Turkey.

That's what I've been telling you all along.  Nancy Pelosi will only go with what's popular, instead of what's "right".  She tried to pull this stunt and said she'd "see it through", then when support dropped, she dropped the issue entirely.

It's one of the worst types of leaders.  Ones who will say or do anything, but if the wind blows, they'll switch up positions and act like the whole thing never happened.

Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich offered another excuse for Pelosi's misstep: she had too much on her plate.

This delusional idiot shouldn't be bothering to offer excuses.  He's already got a laundry list of his own problems to deal with.  Besides, what kind of excuse is "she had too much on her plate"?  That's one of the lamest excuses I've ever heard.  If she believed it was the right thing to do, how does having too much on her plate deviate from that?

She took a throw of the dice and it ended up backfiring in her face.  Now she's trying to retreat and make it all go away quietly.  Well it won't work that way as long as there are people like me around Nancy.
