"Hey guys, we'd REALLY appreciate it if you would pay us back the $400,000 loan we gave you while you were working at McDonalds for $5 an hour".
Now all of a sudden, Countrywide is trying to "work with borrowers". Before, they were trying to stick it to people with ARM loans and all sorts of exotic loans to make even more money. Well now the reality of it all has sunk in and they are in deep trouble with people who simply shouldn't have been given such a loan in the first place.
Well suck it down Countrywide. You made a bad business decision, now you have to live with it. The government isn't going to help you out. Hillary isn't going to help you out.
So let this be an expensive lesson to you. If you decide to rip people off or allow them to extend themselves further then you normally would, then you deserve every bit of headaches that comes along with it.
