By its actions, Israel showed it is not interested in waiting for diplomacy to work where nuclear weapons are at stake.
As a bonus, the Israelis proved they could penetrate the Syrian air defense system, which is stronger than the one protecting Iranian nuclear sites.
That's an important point to make. If Syria's air defenses are tougher than Iran's, Iran is in for some serious hurt because Israeli and US warplanes are much harder to hit than normal aircraft and, with some of the most advanced weapons on the planet, they can easily hit their targets. However, Iran can avoid all this by giving up their centrifuges and purchasing non-weapons grade nuclear fuel and exchange it out every time it runs empty to a third party nation or a UN mandated nuclear repository. However, with Iranian government officials worried about a big dick contest, they seem hell bent on getting their nuclear facilities up and running as fast as possible.
On the other side of this story is North Korea. If they have truly sold their equipment to others, it's a blatant disregard for the non nuclear proliferation agreements that we came up with to them. They should be punished for such actions. Take away some of the fuel oil we're shipping to them, cut aid for X amount of time as retribution. Make sure that ALL nuclear equipment is destroyed, THEN take out the punishment on them. This type of behavior is unacceptable and they are endangering innocent lives by it.
