Take a gander at the hypocrisy level here:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi fired her comments directly at Bush. "The president is wrong when he says Democrats want a political victory," said the California Democrat. "What we want is a bipartisan bill. What we want is health care for 10 million children."
"He is walking away from taking care of our children and I find that just unimaginable," Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-New York, said.
"We were coming together in a bipartisan way to be able to give more children, American children, the ability to get their health-care needs taken care of. And it's time that we have the president join with us in the right set of priorities for American families," she added.
These are all the same people who bitch and complain about the federal debt and not being fiscally responsible, but then want to increase taxes and pay for more social services.
Take out the children for a moment. When you start invoking "won't someone think of the children", you've automatically lost your argument.
Why? It's the parents responsibility to think of the children.
So when the President starts actually becoming semi fiscally responsible, Democrats start complaining.
Look Democrats, you can have it one way or the other: Tons of social services and crushing debt, or tighten up the fiscal belts and make necessary cuts.
I'm willing to bet you that if someone asks Hillary or Nancy about Canada's reaching equal stance with our dollar for the first time in 33 years what they thought, they'd start talking about how we're not being fiscally responsible and how we're "wasting money" all over the place.
Hypocrites.

We are spending billions of dollars a month on the war and in rebuilding Iraq, with no end in sight. But when it comes to spending money on our own American children, the the President wants to veto it. Its more important to spend our tax dollars on others than on our own.
ReplyDeleteIt is not that the money will be spent on OUR own children. It will be spent on the children of illegal immigrants. It will be spent on the children of those too lazy to work or to get an education and improve their lives. It will be spent on those that think they should be taken care of by the government instead of taking care of themselves. The money will be spent on those that can't afford to have more children but continue to do so because they can't figure how a condom works or how to do anything but give in to their urges. This money will be taken from those who work and earn it. Taken from those who practice family PLANNING. Taken from those who applied themselves in school and at their jobs so they advanced and made better for themselves and their families. Taken from those who waited until they had health insurance from their employer or who could afford to procure for themselves before having children. No more sympathy. You are entitled to NOTHING. Do for yourself. Make something of yourself. Improve your own life. It's about time we put a little chlorine in the gene pool.
ReplyDeleteMy point was that Democrats love to talk about fiscal responsibility, but yet they ask for an additional $60 billion a year for this program. Harry seems to have gotten this point, but the anonymous poster has not.
ReplyDeleteIllegal immigrants should be entitled to next to nothing. I do have a heart enough to not deny them EMERGENCY HEALTH CARE. In other words if they are in this country illegally and are say hit by a car, I don't think they should be denied medical attention.
However, afterwards, what would be fair is that after their treatment, they are deported and if they ever want to come back to be citizens, the MUST repay the costs of their medical treatment. I don't like moochers, especially uninvited moochers.
Harry's exactly right though, there are people in this country that work hard, practice family planning, and paid attention in school, only to have their money pissed away by Democrats who seem to think personal and fiscal responsibility is some kind of government piggy bank to pay for things that irresponsible folks get to enjoy.
When Hillary Clinton talks about the mortgage crisis and bailing people out, when is she going to pay MY mortgage payment? She isn't because she views people like me with contempt. I worked hard, studied in college, didn't drop babies like a vending machine and save and invest my money wisely. She seems to think that she should have the right to "take the profits" of people who's only crime is that they are living the American dream.
