I've said it before, and I'll say it again. If you want to be President, you need a plan and you need to let voters know what it is. Rudy Giuliani certainly speaks well and I do agree with him on a couple of key points, but if he, or anyone else, wants to be President, you need to tell people EXACTLY what you plan on doing. Giving rough ideas is fine, but tell people how you plan on solving their problems.
One of his main points was returning this country to fiscal responsibility. While that's nice on paper, I would like some more details about how he plans on accomplishing that. Now granted, with his past experience in turning New York City around, I will give him a great deal of leeway, but he still must come up with specific things he wants to do to accomplish these goals. If it wasn't for the Gun Control issue, I think I'd be very inclined to vote for him. I'd still vote for him over any Democratic candidate, but the Gun Control issue is one of my major stumbling blocks.
Plus, Fred Thompson is debating on running, and if he does, all other Republican candidates are going to have a very serious contender on their hands. He has name and face recognition, he's popular, has political experience, and is more aligned with Republican ideals which will lead to a greater chance of him receiving the Republican nomination for President.
