Republicans Object To Jefferson Appointment

I wrote a post about this a bit ago, and now Republicans are starting to step up to the plate and say that this guy needs to go. Of course, Nancy Pelosi thinks it's "an appropriate place for him to be." Really Mrs. Pelosi? Where does Tom Delay belong? He was in the midst of a bribery scandal too, but he resigned because he knew he was caught.

What does Jefferson do? Rather then attack the evidence against him as false, he and other Democrats attacks the FBI for the way they handled the situation. They know damned good and well that the FBI has a solid case against him. Especially when they find $90,000 of marked bills in his freezer. Democrats and especially Nancy Pelosi like to "talk the talk" about running the most "honest Congress in history" and repeatedly accuse Republicans about their "culture of corruption", but they don't "walk the walk."

I'm not saying that Republicans are pure as the driven snow. We have our fair share of corrupt people, and when they are found, they are removed or resign from power. Simple as that. But Democrats are holding onto a very slim majority and they don't want to give up power over a known corrupt politician in their ranks. Where's the "culture of corruption" now?
