Update On Iraq

So the Iraqi Prime Minister says that if we give up guns and equipment, we can basically hang around for a bit, then head home. Well that sounds easy doesn't it? The problem is that the Iraqi security forces are full of corruption and enemy forces. If we give them major firepower, who's to say that it won't be used against us? Now that may be a valid complaint from the PM and the White House has agreed that it is. But I'd feel better if we got rid of the corrupt and enemy forces before we hand over military style weapons.

As a side note, the Iraqi security forces have detained 400 militants loyal to al-Sadr. This would be a major step forward in infiltrating his forces and gaining valuable intelligence against his forces.
