Yeah, you guys remember how we shot down a satellite with a missile just a bit ago? Yeah, it was all to force the US to talk about abolishing space weapons. Does anyone else need a minute to take a look at the bottom of their shoe for shit they may have stepped in? That has got to be one of the dumbest international excuses I've heard in a long while. China didn't think that there'd be too much of an uproar and they found out that much of the world is condemning them for it. Plus, we still remember the little "blinding the US satellite" incident a bit back too.
Perhaps if that were true (There's better odds of me getting hit by a UFO while riding around on a tricycle wearing an "Impeach Bush" shirt), maybe China could have said "hey, let's talk about space weapons and we'll talk to you about Iran, the economy, or whatever else you want to talk about". I'm calling shenanigans on this one.
