Can I be heartless for a moment?

We have 3 climbers on Mount Hood in Oregon who are now in trouble and need to be rescued. Plus, the Pacific Northwest is now experiencing a nasty storm that has knocked out power to almost 1 million people.

First off, why go mountain climbing in the middle of winter when you are "lightly equipped". It's called personal responsibility people. It's not difficult to understand. You are going up a mountain in the middle of winter, you should reasonably expect to run into trouble. Now, during a 100 mph wind storm, they need help. Unfortunately, they may have to be up on the mountain longer because of this poor planning.

Sure, I hope that they come back alive and back to their families, but they should at least get a bill for all the rescue workers trying to find them. It's one thing when you're in deep trouble and prepared for such an event, it's quite another when you're "lightly equipped".
