Blair: Force Alone Won't Beat Terrorism

Well I can agree with that on many fronts. Force alone doesn't solve many of the problems that we face. However, when someone has made a threat against us and has proven that they will carry out that threat, force is the only thing that will solve that. If a nation wants to extend its hand in friendship that has not been friendly to us in the past, I'm all for cautiously extending ours in return. If a group of militants wants to blow up parts of America and kill as many people as possible, then we need to kill them as painfully as possible.

A quick shot to the head will do the trick, but there are always alternatives to flushing out an enemy. Using behind the scenes tactics involving every aspect of the enemies lives will make them make a mistake and allow us to find them and eliminate them. Understanding and mutual respect is for those who deserve it. People who plow airliners into buildings, blow up tunnels, plot gas attacks and more do not deserve understanding or mutual respect. They deserve to be shipped to an undisclosed place, squeezed of any last bit of information they may have, then shipped home in a body bag.
