How Al-Jazeera Is Brainwashing The Arab World
I get a lot of emails from people asking me why I don't link to websites other then US and European ones and instead try to see things from the side of the Arab world.
Well, I have found a perfect example of why I don't:

With regards to accusations by the US and its allies that Iran is attempting to manufacture a nuclear weapon, Khamenei said that possessing such arsenal would be "useless".
"No wise nation is interested in making a nuclear weapon," since it is not
logical and cannot be used.
"Iran is after the peaceful use of nuclear energy and we will strongly pursue and reach it despite the envy of our enemies."
Could you kiss Iranian ass a little more? What about the truth of thier nuclear program? Oh yeah, BURIED at the very bottom of the page:
Mohammed El Baradei, the UN atomic watchdog chief, on Monday asked for greater clarity from Tehran concerning their nuclear programme.
Iran has not provided access to documents and individuals as requested by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
So someone who's just skimming the article, like pretty much everyone does, wouldn't read about the Iranians secrecy about their nuclear weapons program.
Want To Know What A Police State Looks Like?
I've been trolling around the internet a lot lately, and a certain theme has come about. Ever since the war in Iraq became less and less popular, I'm noticing the kids these days talking about how America is turning into a "police state".
Well kids, HERE'S what a police state looks like. Emphasis is done by me:
The Beijing Olympic organizing committee issued a stern, nine-page document Monday that covers 57 topics. Written in Chinese only and posted on the official Web site, the guide covers everything from a ban on sleeping outdoors to the need for government permission to stage a protest.
Visitors also should know this:
- Those with "mental diseases" or contagious conditions will be barred.
- Some parts of the country are closed to visitors -- one of them Tibet.
- Olympic tickets are no guarantee of a visa to enter China.
Fearing protests during the August 8-24 Olympics, China's government has tightened controls on visas and residence permits for foreigners. It has also promised a massive security presence at the games, which may include undercover agents dressed as volunteers.
The guide said Olympic ticket holders "still need to visit China embassies and consulates and apply for visas according to the related rules."
The government hopes to keep out activists and students who might stage pro-Tibet rallies that would be broadcast around the world. It also fears protests over China's oil and arms trade with Sudan, and any disquiet from predominantly Muslim regions in western China.
"In order to hold any public gathering, parade or protest the organizer must apply with the local police authorities. No such activity can be held unless a permit is given. ... Any illegal gatherings, parades and protests and refusal to comply are subject to administrative punishments or criminal prosecution."
The document also warns against the display of insulting slogans or banners at any sports venue. It also forbids any religious or political banner at an Olympic venue that "disturbs the public order."
The guidelines seem to clash with a pledge made two month ago by International Olympic Committee president Jacques Rogge, who said athletes could exercise freedom of speech in China. He asked only that athletes refrain from making political statements at certain official Olympics venues.
"Freedom of expression is something that is absolute," Rogge said in Beijing in April. "It's a human right. Athletes have it."
The guide also spells out a long list of items that cannot be brought into the country, including weapons, imitation weapons, ammunition, explosives, counterfeit currency, drugs and poisons. It also prohibits the entry of materials "that are harmful to China's politics, economics, culture and morals".
So, when can we expect the Hollywood celebrities and liberals from around the world to protest in China? Oh, I'm willing to bet that isn't going to happen. Why? Because China will crack down on it and the "protesters" know it. They'll be happy to protest in America where they know they can get away with it. You see, it's one thing to protest when there's a real threat. It's quite another when you protest and know that nothing is going to happen to you. It's a false bravado.
Sure, we might see one or two incidents of protest by some Chinese kids, but on a whole, I'm willing to bet this will be a big nothing in terms of protesters.

Hillary Calling It Quits Tomorrow?
There's a LOT of speculation going on right now that Hillary is about to call it quits tomorrow. She's getting a speech ready for tomorrow as well as her staffers have been told to get their expense reports in as quickly as possible.
Of course, this has been met with denial, but lately, that doesn't mean jack.

This Is How You Parent
People, listen up. When you've got yourself a bully as a child, this is how you deal with it. Kudos to this mom for standing up and teaching her son right from wrong.
You don't coddle.

You slap them back into line when they do something wrong. It's called parenting. It's what needs to be done after you've spit out a baby.

Democrats Whine To Win
Democratic party officials said a committee agreed Saturday on a compromise to seat Michigan and Florida delegates with half-votes after Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton failed to get enough support to force their positions through.
Clinton's chief delegate hunter Harold Ickes angrily informed the committee that Clinton had instructed him to reserve her right to appeal the matter to the Democrats' credentials committee, which could potentially drag the matter to the party's convention in August.
"There's been a lot of talk about party unity-let's all come together, and put our arms around each other," said Ickes, who is also a member of the Rules Committee that approved the deal. "I submit to you ladies and gentlemen, hijacking four delegates ... is not a good way to start down the path of party unity."
The deal was reached after committee members met privately for more than three hours, trying to hammer out a deal, and announced in a raucous hearing that reflected deep divisions within the party. The sticking point was Michigan, where Obama's name was not on the ballot.
Clinton's camp insisted Obama shouldn't get any pledged delegates in Michigan since he chose not to put his name on the ballot, and she should get 73 pledged delegates with 55 uncommitted. Obama's team insisted the only fair solution was to split the pledged delegates in half between the two campaigns, with 64 each.
The committee agreed on a compromise offered by the Michigan Democratic Party that would split the difference, allowing Clinton to take 69 delegates and Obama 59. Each delegate would get half a vote at the convention in Denver this summer, according to the deal.
They also agreed to seat the Florida delegation based on the outcome of the January primary, with 105 pledged delegates for Clinton and 67 for Obama, but with each delegate getting half a vote as a penalty.
The resolution increased the number of delegates needed to clinch the nomination to 2,118, leaving Obama 66 delegates short but still within striking distance after the three final primaries are held in the next three days.
Proponents of full seating continuously interrupted the committee members as they explained their support of the compromise, then supporters of the deal shouted back.
"Shut up!" one woman shouted at another.
"You shut up!" the second woman shouted back.
I guess "won't be counted" as a ruling wasn't good enough, so enough people bitched and complained and the Democratic leaders surrendered against a threat (yet again), crumbled, and "hammered out a deal" to appease everyone. Why does this sound SO FAMILIAR?!?!?
If Democrats can't play by the rules and the consequences, what kind of example are they setting for America and the rest of the world? A bad one. Didn't they chide President Bush for breaking the rules as well? Hmm....smells like hypocrisy....

Obama Quits Church
So, after TWO pastors have spewed out hatred and causing Obama headaches that he doesn't need, he's decided to "resign" from the church.
But, does Obama agree with these statements by these two pastors whom he's know more then 20 years each? One of them thinks so:
But six weeks after Obama's well-received speech on race, Wright claimed at an appearance in Washington that the U.S. government was capable of planting AIDS in the black community, praised Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and suggested that Obama was acting like a politician by putting his pastor at arm's length while privately agreeing with him.
If Obama is found to have agreed with Wright or his other idiot pastor on many of these controversial attitudes, his campaign is sunk. There are a lot in the liberal circles who'll vote for him BECAUSE he agrees with these attitudes, but there's simply no way for him to recover from the animosity that Clinton supporters have for him as well as people who hate Wright.
It's a minefield Obama, get used to it.

Cracks Starting To Show
Obama may have the delegate lead, but that doesn't mean he's got the Presidency:
Democratic leaders hopeful that a deal to seat delegates from Florida and Michigan would mark an end to the deep division the controversy has brought to the party got some instant - and less than encouraging - feedback as they finalized the measure Saturday evening.
As members of the Democratic National Committee's Rules and Bylaws panel voted in favor of the measures, some supporters of Hillary Clinton's White House bid rose from their seats and began to shout "Don't steal my vote!" and "Let's go, McCain!"
Several paced the back of the ballroom, yelling at the committee members and chanting "Denver! Denver!" - the site of this summer's Democratic presidential nominating convention.
When Barack Obama's name was mentioned, boos filled the room.
This is in sync with polls that have shown that a large portion of each side of the Democratic nomination will be leaning towards McCain in the election. While I'd like to believe that, I certainly am not counting on it.
However, you can bet your ass that if McCain DOES win in November, I'll be writing to Susan Sarandon and asking her to leave the United States.
Sharon Stone "Misspoke"
Actress Sharon Stone said in a statement Saturday that she "could not be more regretful" of her comments this month regarding the earthquake in China, in which she suggested that the quake was an act of "karma."
"Yes, I misspoke," said the statement released by Stone's publicist and entitled "In my own words by Sharon Stone."
"I could not be more regretful of that mistake. It was unintentional. I apologize. Those words were never meant to be hurtful to anyone," Stone said. "They were an accident of my distraction and a product of news sensationalism."
Anyone else smell that? Oh that's right, it's BULLSHIT. God, how I hate cowards and those who try to deflect blame.
