I feel so dirty

I feel so dirty.  I just got all excited to watch Keith Olbermann spew out another bunch of half truths and outright lies, and yet, here I am AGREEING with a lot of the things he says.  In this one, he brings up the FISA laws that were broken by the telecommunications companies when they did mass surveillance on US citizens.

The Senate voted today to preserve retroactive immunity from lawsuits for telecommunications companies that cooperated with a government eavesdropping program, decisively rejecting an amendment that would have stripped the provision from a bill to modernize an electronic surveillance law.

Senators voted 67 to 31 to shelve the amendment.

Although, later on through the spot, Keith DOES manage to swerve off the deep end and downplay any threats that we have from terrorists.  He insinuates that terrorism is a made up boogeyman that was invented by the Bush administration.  So at least I didn't TOTALLY agree with Olbermann.  That would have me in the shower trying to scrub off the dirt with 40 grit sandpaper.

Here's how your representatives voted:

Here's an interesting note.  Hillary mentioned that Barack Obama was an "absentee" representative, and yet, who's "not voting" on this extremely important piece of legislation?  That's right, Hillary Clinton.
