If You're A Democrat - You Must Believe The Following

I found a neat list about what you must believe if you're a Republican on the Internet. I can't seem to find it at the moment, as their site seems to be down, but I thought I would make one for Democrats. :)

If you're a Democrat, you must believe in the following:

The UN is there for fairness towards all nations, unless that nation is the Evil USA.

You denounce various government programs designed to anticipate and thwart terrorist attacks, yet when one happens, you blame the government for "not connecting the dots" or "doing enough"

If you don't get your way about a particular subject, you must threaten to move to Canada, but never actually follow through with it.

If you go to protests, you must block everyone from going about their daily lives so that you may yell your point of view as loudly as possible through a megaphone.

You must blame everything on George W. Bush

You will push your point of view on everyone else about global warming, yet you drive around in a VW bus that gets 20mpg and hasn't had a tune up since the Nixon administration.

You must support heavier taxes on the "rich". By "rich" we mean everyone who makes more then you do.

You must have a crush on Bill Clinton and point to his administration as "the good years when America was righteous about every subject known to man".

You must think that terrorism is something made up by Halliburton.

You must think that when Republicans are suspected of bribery, they need to be charged with the most serious crime and be executed for said crime. If it's a Democrat, they must be promoted because it's "all a conspiracy by the right wing".

You must believe Hillary when she said it was a "vast right wing conspiracy" when her husband was porking the chubby chick from the mail room.

You must believe that Iran, Iraq, and North Korea are "just a bunch of innocent people minding their own business" and would never stoop to supporting Halliburton made up groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, or Al-Qaeda.

You must believe that we never landed on the moon.

You must believe that the CIA is filled with assassination robots and the secrets of alien life forms.

You must believe that the 2000 and 2004 election was "rigged" but the 2006 election was "fair and balanced where America's voice was heard".

You must believe that no one in their right mind could possibly have a "Republican viewpoint" because all your friends are Democrats too.

You must believe that Universal Health Care is a right for everyone in America and that no tax increase should be necessary because "the government will take care of it".

You must believe that auto makers have magic cars that they've snuffed out over the years that get 1,000 mpg and sprinkle rose petals on sidewalks for children to play with.

You must believe that your 5th abortion will be your last.....really...you mean it this time.

You must believe that if Keith Olbermann said it, it simply must be true! He wouldn't nit pick facts and present them in a misleading way. That's something Republicans do.

Same for Michael Moore.

You must believe that Hollywood celebrities are experts in International Relations, Natural Disaster Cleanups, The Environment, Politics, and "What the government should do about it".

You must be star struck by Barack Obama and never question him about how he plans on running the country.

You must believe that whatever a country says about the USA must be true, but if the USA says something about a country it's "George W. Bush's lies".

You must be willing to give up a fight that you backed a few short years ago.

You must be willing to say you "support the troops" all the while you say and do as much as possible to ruin morale, undermine their leaders, insinuate they are the "real terrorists", and threaten to cut off funding for their equipment and training.

You must not let facts about Bill Clinton or any other Democratic superstar get in the way of undying devotion.

You must want taxes on the rich regardless of how much they pay as it is.

You must bob your heads to "Rage Against The Machine" music and say how you're "gonna make a difference when the revolution comes", but not actually get off your ass and do something....that's for squares man.

You must take threats against this country as "a conspiracy" because no one would ever threaten the sunshine and puppy dogs version of America.

You must say every single nasty thing you can think of about George W. Bush and Republicans and when called to the carpet about it, scream "Freedom of Speech", yet be willing to denounce Republicans and tell them "you can't say that" when they return the favor.

You must promise the world in campaign promises during the elections when you're out of power, but when you're voted in, you must do the exact same things that you rallied against Republicans for.

You must never own a PC. Macintosh only...otherwise how are we to know when Steve Jobs is taking a dump?

You must mouth off to your boss at Starbucks but get angry when he fires your ass for insubordination.

You must have dreams of driving around in a Lamborghini like 50 cent does, but get angry when you find out that the Lamborghini people don't just give them away. They cost around $300,000 and you'll need a job to get one.

You must never pay for college on your own dime. Mom and Dad or the government's job is to pay for you to get high, do as little as possible, and "find yourself".

Speaking of "doing as little as possible", you must never want to better yourself in any way. That'd be "selling out".

Good Lord, this is too easy. :)

You must be in complete shock when you finally do move out of your mother's basement and get your own apartment. "You mean high speed internet and free food don't come with the place? This is BULLSHIT!"

You must be outraged as lists like this one that points out blatant stereotypes, but be willing to do much worse against Republicans.

You must take Nancy Pelosi, John Murtha, Sean Penn, Rosie O'Donnell, Ben Affleck, or Michael Moore's word as gospel, but never trust a word out of any Republican....even if he or she is just telling you what time the bus comes around...it could be a conspiracy to make you late.

You must shove affirmative action down the throats of everyone on the planet. Who cares if the best man for the job was white or Jewish? We got a black man now! I'm sure that taking in a lesser qualified black/Hispanic/green man for a fireman's job will be of great comfort when he can't carry you out of the burning building because he didn't pass the physical and you burn to death.

You must be willing to sue anyone with deep pockets, regardless of if they were at fault or not for your "injury".

You must play the race card even if race obviously had nothing to do with it.

You must be willing to inconvenience everyone else for your "cause", but not care enough to actually change your behavior.

You must believe that every gun owner is a maniac who only wants a fully automatic machine gun to kill deer. He couldn't possibly want it because it's a collectors item or it's just plain "cool".

You must believe that the Constitutional right to Free Speech should never be touched as it is sacred to the American people and protects your right to say whatever you want. The Second Amendment however is completely open to "interpretation" and can be practically eliminated without thought to your fellow American citizens thoughts or feelings.

You must believe that Gun Control is a valid argument and that criminals would never think to break the new law that was just established to purchase a gun.

You must believe that the government orchestrated the 9/11 attacks in one of the most precise military operation in the history of mankind without fault. But they are completely incompetent in every other area.

You must believe that Canada is doing everything right that America is doing wrong. But you're not willing to actually move there and apply for citizenship.

You must believe that illegal immigrants have never committed a crime, never took advantage of America's generosity, and that we should make them citizens automatically since they managed to cross a border when no one was looking. Also, you must never look into any other country's laws pertaining to citizenship as America would look favorable in that light.

You must believe in the "Zionist conspiracy" that controls everything. You say "Zionist" because if you used the word "Jew" you'd sound like Mel Gibson and we don't want people to be confused.

You must believe that people with conservative views are all in on the conspiracy.

You must believe that "cronies" are all that George W. Bush has used to fill various government positions. John Roberts was the night watchman at a Maytag warehouse before he became Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

You must believe that any hint of impropriety deserves protests against that person for life. But Ted Kennedy gets a slide for killing Mary Jo Kopechne. You know, it was a while ago, so stop hassling the guy!

You believe that every assassination in history was a conspiracy by one of the following groups/people: CIA, NSA, FBI, Chicago Mob, Aliens, George W. Bush, Richard Nixon, Military Industrial Complex, Halliburton, or Snap, Crackle, and Pop.

You believe that NASA should be shut down regardless of the insane amount of technology that comes of it's existence.

You must believe that the government should hand hold you and bail you out whenever bad things happen, but the minute they start "helping" you in any way you don't like, you scream "Big Brother!"

You must believe that you shouldn't be self sufficient because that would be "selling out".

You must complain about the government and the way it's handled, but you'd never consider running for office and you haven't voted since Back To The Future was still in the theaters.

You don't have a clue about economics, which is why you say "the government should pay for that", yet you fly into a rage when gas prices go up a dime.

You scream about the deficit, yet complain when wasteful government programs are cut to save money.

You view Jon Stewart as a serious news source.

You must pirate every movie, song, or software package out on the market today, but complain when these companies go after pirates. "They should just put out awesome stuff for free man".

You must worship Steve Jobs even though he has a reputation as a mean spirited boss who belittles his employees.

You must believe that Bill Gates is pure evil down the molecular level. You must photoshop him eating puppies and gulping it down with a cup full of children's blood.

My God, have you guys read down this far already? :)

You must believe that we should get off of foreign oil, but we can never drill anywhere new ever again.

You must think cars must magically get 100mpg, be able to survive a 200mph crash and walk away from it, and be less than $10,000. They must improve these statistics exponentially every year.

You must look down your nose at people who were born in this country or who immigrated to this country and love it for what it is.

You must hate country music with a passion. But if someone says your garage band's music sucks, you must immediately denounce them as they haven't "opened their mind to new things".

You must push for renewable energy, but still leave your Macintosh on at all times, drive around in a beat up car, and leave the lights on in your house all day long. You know, fluffy the kitten might want to read the paper by light coming from the lamp on your desk.

You must splatter or support the splattering of blood/guts/or worse items on people who wear fur coats or eat meat. Meat is murder after all and you're a vegetarian. Plants aren't living things.

Freeze For Freeze

And nothing else. I'm all for our freezing sanctions if Iran freezes uranium enrichment, and it can be verified, but nothing else. I'm not going to say "ok, we'll stop asking for sanctions, but you can continue to enrich uranium". That's bullshit. Compromise for compromise is one thing, but completely giving in is quite another.

These people are already having problems with their population when it was announced that they were rationing gasoline. That's their weak point. Go for the imports of gasoline in the next round of sanctions. That will force the Iranian government to think twice about their nuclear program. If you have a better idea, I'd love to hear it.

Obama Loses Support

When he says that he doesn't support impeachment, you can bet your sweet ass that he's going to drop a lot of points by the rabid liberals that support him. Take a look over at digg.com's link to another story just like it. The first comment of "Well, fuck you then, Obama." has over 500 people agreeing with him as of right now.

Now, of course Obama is technically correct: "I believe if we began impeachment proceedings we will be engulfed in more of the politics that has made Washington dysfunction," he added. "We would once again, rather than attending to the people's business, be engaged in a tit-for-tat, back-and-forth, non-stop circus."

He's exactly right. You bring up impeachment proceedings, watch the fireworks display go off. People will bring out the big guns and fire away. Now, that being said, if people do believe that Bush has committed a crime, they have the moral obligation to impeach. However, the reason why you haven't seen any is because as of now, Bush hasn't committed any crimes.

Now there are investigations going on right now that are looking into whether or not he has committed any crimes, but regardless of if something is found or not, Democrats simply don't have enough backbone to actually do something about it.

Barbra Streisand Gets French Medal

"You are the America that we love," said Sarkozy, who is seen as more U.S.-friendly than Chirac. "Women like you ... do a lot to bring our two peoples together." Of course she's the woman that France loves, she bashes America left and right, has a self righteous attitude, and is frequently caught doing the same thing she denounces others from doing.

There's just so many French/Streisand jokes in this story, I'm just going to let you all read it. You can't make this stuff up folks.

New York Doesn't Understand "Right To Privacy" Laws

When you are in public, you do not have a reasonable expectation of privacy. That's why when a photographer takes a picture of Brad Pitt having coffee at an outdoor Starbucks, he doesn't have to pay Brad any money for the photo. Well in New York, they are trying to make it so that if you are with a group of people and want to take photos, you'll need a permit and an insurance liability policy.

I understand what they are trying to do with regards to professional photographers, but if one person has this happen to them and they are a tourist, you can bet your ass that New York will see a drop in tourism, although how much is debatable.

"It's Because I'm A Black Man"

God how I hate it when people who are blatantly wrong try to play the race card. Hollywood actor Isaiah Washington is no different.

Washington, who initially used the epithet during an onset clash with a co-star, told Newsweek magazine that "someone heard the booming voice of a black man and got really scared and that was the beginning of the end for me."

He tried to make amends by expressing remorse and volunteering to enter a counseling program to understand how the confrontation got out of hand, he told Newsweek.

"My mistake was believing that I would get the support from my network and all of my cast mates across the board. My mistake was believing I could correct a wrong with honesty and sincerity," he said in the interview posted online Thursday.

"My mistake was thinking black people get second chances. I was wrong on all fronts," he said.

His unwillingness to act like a submissive black at work was part of the problem, Washington said.

"Well, it didn't help me on the set that I was a black man who wasn't a mush-mouth Negro walking around with his head in his hands all the time. I didn't speak like I'd just left the plantation and that can be a problem for people sometime," he said.

"I had a person in human resources tell me after this thing played out that 'some people' were afraid of me around the studio. I asked her why, because I'm a 6-foot-1, black man with dark skin and who doesn't go around saying 'Yessah, massa sir' and 'No sir, massa' to everyone?

"It's nuts when your presence alone can just scare people, and that made me a prime candidate to take the heat in a dysfunctional family," he said.

First off, if any of you used an anti-gay remark at work, you'd be fired immediately. If I called someone a "fag" or "dyke" or whatever the hell this guy called someone else, I'd be hauled into an office and I'd be unemployed within minutes. It has NOTHING to do with the color of my skin.

Why should you get the "support of the network and your cast mates across the board"? Do you think if anyone in the real world did what you did that they would get unconditional support from their coworkers? There are gay people in the world Isaiah, and if you show that you're willing to call a person an anti-gay remark, what the fuck makes you think they should automatically forgive you? Would you forgive a cast mate who called another person a "nigger"? Probably not, and you'd be completely in the right for not forgiving that person.

Maybe if Johnny Cochran was alive he could help out: "If the word "fag" comes from his mouth, his employment shouldn't go south".

So suck it up idiot, you made your bed, now lie in it like a MAN would do.

Multiple London Bombs Found

So there's been an attempted terrorist attack in London with two car bombs found so far. This is a healthy reminder that the terrorist people we're dealing with are still threatening civilians and are ready to do whatever it takes to kill as many people as possible.

You'd think that liberals would take a look at it and say "well, glad they got to it and disabled it before it hurt or killed anyone". You'd be wrong. Take a look at Daily Kos' article "London Bomb--What a Crock of Crap!!"

I really am at a loss of words. After every terrorist attack against America, Britain, and Australia, even before 9/11, people who aren't going to be afraid or swayed by these tactics stand up and capture or kill everyone involved as much as possible. But this is the response we get from liberals most popular blog? Denial? "well it wasn't a big deal because of what they used wouldn't have caused much carnage".

It's a threat against Britain and they don't give two shits about it. Yes, the items used would probably have caused a fireball instead of an explosion, but that doesn't make them any less of a terrorist. That's like saying "well Jeffrey Dahmer isn't much of a threat because he would strangle people one by one". Jeffrey was a threat and he needed to be arrested for his heinous crimes.

Of course, take a look at the comments section of the idiocy brigade. They just don't get it. This country gets threats on a daily basis, as well as Britain and Australia from terrorist groups. When one does happen, morons like Keith Olbermann try to put it together like some kind of political stunt gone awry.

Do you know why liberals think it's all a dog and pony show? They've been out of power for so long, they no longer get the intelligence reports and read them and take them seriously. They seem to think that if we just do this or do that, that it'll all be rainbows and sunshine. They want us to "get to the roots of terrorism", which is fine, but they want us to fix it for them. For example, the Palestinians elected a terrorist group as their new government. Well poverty is supposedly a root cause of terrorism, so liberals want us to send aid to these people so they don't turn to terrorism.

That's bullshit. If we did that for everyone like liberals would want, this country would go bankrupt sending money to each part of the world.

Make no mistake here people, these threats will only continue because they see that their CAIR front and their lies are working to further warp the minds of liberals who'll gladly take it in the ass as long as there's peace and love. It's called bullying. But when terrorists come at you with their hands held out for aid, it's called humanitarian.

Potential HIV Cure?

This is great news. An early proof of concept was showing to remove the HIV virus from cells that could potentially be used to cure HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. Of course, there's still many years of research and development that needs to happen before this would benefit humanity, but those still on the front lines of curing diseases and helping humanity must be given proper credit.

"The most important, and likely most difficult, among these is that the enzyme would need efficient and safe means of delivery and would have to be able to function without adverse side effects," wrote lead author Indrani Sarkar of the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden.

"Nevertheless the results we present offer an early proof of principal for this type of approach, which we speculate might form a useful basis for the development of future HIV therapies," Sarkar concluded.

Congratulations to Indrani Sarkar and his team of researchers.

If this does indeed work, you will see a revolution in healthcare around the world, especially in Africa where HIV and AIDS effects a good portion of the population.

"Sicko" Is Incredibly Persuasive

Really genius? Michael Moore's legendary habit of hand picking statements and skewing things towards his particular view makes his film "persuasive"?

Perhaps if this "documentary" was made by a real director instead of a misleading idiot, I might take a lot of points made in the film to heart. However, whenever you're watching a Michael Moore film, you have to take it with a huge grain of salt.

Britain's Missing Criminal Statistics

Wow, take a gander at this. Two million crimes weren't counted because of some idiotic rules that they implemented like a cap.

Isn't this the land of strict gun control and cameras on every street corner? Isn't this what liberals want? To protect us from ourselves? Well if it isn't working for the British and they have to hide criminal statistics, what do Gun Control folks think that will make them believe it will work here?

Nancy Pelosi's In Trouble

When you have to remind your constituents that you're "on their side", you know you're in trouble. Liberals are rightfully pissed at her and other Congressional Democrats for their multiple failures to do what they promised on the campaign trail. But of course, in typical Democrat style, she tries to offset blame:

Not only has Pelosi restated her calls to end the war in Iraq, she has made passage of an energy and climate change bill a staple of her Speakership.

“This is urgent … the special interests are entrenched,” she said Tuesday. “You have to help jar that loose.

Wrong Nancy, YOU have to jar that loose. That's YOUR JOB. Does Nancy come to your work and help you do your job? Does she tell you how to deal with the accounting department over your expense reports? Does she help you fix the transmission of a customers car? Of course not, so why can't she do the job she was elected for? Easy, she's trying to deflect blame for Democrats failures and the ensuing backlash that they are rightfully getting at the moment.

Now of course, she's trying to do the "I'll get it right next time, trust me" approach:

In an interview with MyDD.com, a liberal blog, she called the Iraq war supplemental spending bill “weak” and reminded netroots activists that she opposed the bill. She said that the next measure would include “timelines, timelines, timelines” to end the war in Iraq.

Nancy, let's face facts here. You promised to end the "culture of corruption", yet you promoted someone who's suspected of bribery.

You promised to work with Republicans, then you used the same tactics that Republicans used against Democrats in forcing them out of debates on bills, making you a hypocrite.

You promised to end Congressional perks, yet you ask for your ADULT CHILDREN to be able to fly on trips with you on the taxpayer's dime.

You promised to end the war in Iraq, yet here we are after multiple times, the war in Iraq rages on.

You promised a minimum wage increase, which looks like it is/or already has passed, so I'll give you credit for that.

You promised a stronger "work ethic" and "5 day work weeks" for Congressional members, yet have failed spectacularly on that as well.

Can't you see why your constituents are pissed and how you now have to remind them that their votes really meant something?

Perhaps if you kept your word on most of your campaign promises, you wouldn't be in this mess.
I tend to keep my word better than 99% of the time, which is why my life is much smoother then yours.

Immigration Bill Defeated

Well it looks like those who wanted to give amnesty to illegal aliens in this country were smacked back. The vote was 46-53. They weren't even close. With such a beating, it's very unlikely that they'll try again until after the Presidential election to gauge how the American public might react then.

Democrats Growing A Pair?

Well....let's not go that far. Keith Olbermann had a Constitutional scholar on last night about the Vice President's argument that he won't be complying with the recent subpoena's I spoke of yesterday. The scholar states that this might be an impeachable offense, which is pretty much every liberals wet dream right now.

However, do you think they'll follow through with it? Do you think they've suddenly grown a backbone and said "this is a crime, and Bush needs to be impeached for it"? Probably not, however, if someone believes that a crime has been committed, they have the moral duty to the American public to investigate and call for impeachment regardless of political party.

Of course Democrats usually aren't interested in doing "what's right", they are usually more interested in what keeps them in power or gains them more power. They'll come back with an argument like "we don't have enough votes to impeach" or something like that.

That's the same thing as if you saw two men attacking a woman and her child and you did nothing because "there's two of them and only one of me". If you do nothing, you're just as bad as those who attacked that woman and her child. Sure, you might get your ass kicked, but people will have a significantly larger amount of respect for you had you tried.

Now, I don't know the exact legality of the things they are talking about, maybe Cheney's right, maybe Democrats are right, but if they think a crime has been committed, they have the moral duty to do something about it. That's part of the job they were elected for.

More Democratic Hypocrisy

Oh sweet, sweet irony. Thy name is Edwards. Well Elizabeth Edwards confronted Ann Coulter today over her many jabs at her husband, Presidential candidate John Edwards. That would be just fine, but the problem is, is that John Edwards hired a blogger who's known for almost rabid hate speech that his wife is chiding Coulter about.

So which is it Edwards? Do you want attacks on everyone else's character and personal life to stop, or are you going to be hypocritical and only complain when those attacks are directed at you? If you want attacks to stop, you have to do as you say not as you do, otherwise everything's fair game.

Panel Subpoena's Documents

The Senate Judiciary Committee has subpoenaed documents from Dick Cheney's office today for the domestic spying program that was acknowledged last year against American citizens.

Well, it finally looks like Democrats have grown a pair. If you think that anyone in public office has committed a crime, you have a moral obligation to investigate and call for impeachment for it, regardless of political party. However, let's see if they have the intestinal fortitude to follow through with their investigation or is it all smoke and mirrors like their usual things.

CIA Freedom Of Information Site

I came across this earlier today and thought I'd share it with you all. It's the CIA's Freedom Of Information Act where you can find all sorts of declassified documents on the internet.

This one is especially my favorite. It shows that Bill Clinton knew about the threat of Bin Laden a full year before the incident in Kandahar, Afghanistan where we had the opportunity to capture or kill him but Clinton called it off. I spoke about it in my earlier article: Bin Laden Allowed To Escape For Financial Reasons.

Anyways, I thought you all would enjoy seeing what the CIA has been up to.

Iran Having Major Problems

It looks like it might be easier to get our way with the Iranians over their nuclear program after all. The Iranian government gave it's citizens a 2 hour notice that they will be limited to 100 liters of gas per month on fears that the US will seek sanctions on their oil imports. That's about 25 gallons a month. To give you an idea, I use approximately 50 gallons per month and I get about 35mpg roughly in my modern Honda Civic.

Most cars I've seen are older ones that don't get such good gas mileage, so as you can imagine, there were riots in the streets.

Despite its huge energy reserves, Iran lacks refining capacity and it imports about 40% of its petrol. The country has a large budget deficit largely caused by fuel subsidies and the inflation rate is estimated at 20-30%.

Now, take away 40% of anyone's gas supplies and you have wildly increased gas prices. No one is going to take that lying down.

During the night, cars were set alight and petrol stations vandalised while, in the capital, a supermarket and a bank were also attacked. "Guns, fireworks, tanks, [President] Ahmadinejad should be killed," chanted angry youths, throwing stones at police.

:) Iran's petrol is heavily subsidised, sold at about a fifth of its real cost.

So imagine if gas suddenly went from $3.00 a gallon where it currently is in the US to $15 a gallon almost over night. You can see why people are upset. They have really no where to go as refineries take years upon years to complete even if there was a site and money available to construct one.

The US, which is leading efforts to pressure Iran to suspend its uranium enrichment activities, has said Iran's fuel imports are a point of "leverage".

Sometimes you can get your way with rogue nations without firing a shot. This might be one of those times. Only time will tell though.

Kerry Whines Yet Again

Let me explain something to you Mr. Kerry. Conservative talk radio flourishes because that's what most of the country listens to. It's the same with rap music. I don't listen to that shit, but many many other people do, which is why it's the #1 music format in America today. Do you hear me complaining to radio stations that play it? No, you hear me switch the channel to a radio station that plays heavy metal (which is what I predominately listen to).

Take a look at Air America. It was one of the biggest liberal talk shows in the country and it's now in the middle of bankruptcy. Why? No one wants to hear liberal bullshit because they generally don't have their finger on the pulse of the American public.

No amount of "equal time doctrine's" going to make the public listen to liberal talk radio. It's just more of a "it's not fair" whining that you come to expect from John Kerry.

Convicted Killer Wants State To Pay For Sex Change Operation

Let's not pussy foot around here shall we? (pun intended). This convicted murderer is suing to have a sex operation and to have it done at tax payer expense. Now, inmates do have a right to medical care. But only to medical care that is medically necessary. I'm sorry, there are many trans-gendered people out there who really feel that this type of operation is medically necessary, but it simply isn't.

If you want a sex change operation, go for it. That's your body and your business. When you are a convicted murderer and you want tax payers to foot the bill, then it's my business. Of course, leave it up to bureaucrats to screw it up even further.

An Associated Press review of the case, including figures obtained through Freedom of Information Act requests and interviews, found that the Correction Department and its outside health care provider have spent more than $52,000 on experts to testify about an operation that would cost about $20,000.

So it's cost $52,000 to tell someone "fuck no"?

The duration and expense of the case have outraged some lawmakers who insist that taxpayers should not have to pay for inmates to have surgery that most private insurers reject as elective.

"They are prisoners. They are there because they've broken the law," said Republican state Sen. Scott Brown, who unsuccessfully introduced a bill to ban sex-change surgery for inmates. "Other folks, people who want to get these types of surgeries, they have to go through their insurance carrier or save up for it and do it independently. Yet if you are in prison, you can do it for nothing? That doesn't make a lot of sense."

Exactly. Everyone else who is a law abiding citizen that wants this surgery either goes through their insurance provider (which they generally say is an elective surgery) or they work their asses off and save for the surgery. This guy is no different. If he wants the surgery so badly, then he can work in the prison laundry making 35 cents an hour and save up for it. Don't want to save up for it? Tough shit. You shouldn't have killed that woman.

The Dark Side Of Universal Health Care

It appears that the UK is now going to start "rationing" out care as a "necessary evil". I'll let the reaction of the first poster tell it all:

We throw billions into this bottomless pit to then be told that things are worse than ever and that now services will have to be rationed. Constant political dabling in the NHS has made the service even more inefficient and costly - how many Patient Managers, Financial Controllers, General Managers, Nursing Managers and other quango related jobs have been created in the last 10-15 years in the NHS and how much does that cost the taxpayer each year?

Radical reform, yes radical reform is urgently needed. No wonder people go private - the public service is a joke.

But of course, Democrat's plan for universal health care is going to be different from these guys right? I mean they couldn't possibly create a bureaucracy filled with bullshit that doesn't get anything accomplished, yet allows for people to slip through the cracks. Right?

I'm not saying our current system is perfect, but health care is something the government shouldn't be subsidizing. I shouldn't be having my tax money go towards a hypochondriac every time they get the sniffles, they head to the emergency room simply because they can. Don't believe me? If you had free health care and there was an inkling of a problem, ask yourself, would you go to the doctor? Of course you would, it's "free" right?

Some Democrats Want Out Of Afghanistan

Ok, I'll admit it, I'm going to get pretty riled up over this, so you've all been warned.

A few Democrats, including Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich are talking about us getting out of Afghanistan. MOTHERFUCKING AFGHANISTAN?!?!!? We're not going anywhere until Bin Laden and al-Zahrawi's heads come home in a box full of ice. We're there to capture or kill Taliban and Al-Qaeda members, and until they are both wiped out, we're staying.

Even Nancy Pelosi agrees with me on this:

“The Taliban played a role in the 9/11 attacks by providing a safe haven for bin Laden,” said Drew Hammill, Pelosi’s spokesman. “Preventing a successful resurgence by the Taliban is a national security objective of the United States, and our troops will remain in Afghanistan until the objective is achieved.

Rep. Neil Abercrombie (D-Hawaii), a senior defense authorizer, wants the U.S. out of Afghanistan immediately, calling operations there “futile” in trying to effect political change in a country with a tangled history.

“We are finished there, militarily speaking,” said Abercrombie, the chairman of the Air and Land Armed Services subcommittee.

“There is no useful purpose for our troops there,” Abercrombie stated in a recent interview. “The military should withdraw now,” he said, though he stressed that the U.S. could keep “isolated pockets” of special operators.

Like hell we are finished there. We're there until the threat has been destroyed. Leaving now would embolden Al-Qaeda and the Taliban and allow them to rebuild for additional attacks on the US.

Murtha stressed that NATO forces should take a bigger role in Afghanistan. So far, the U.S. military has been the leading presence.
“I have not made the recommendation yet on withdrawing the troops from Afghanistan,” said Murtha. “Every commander I talk to still thinks that we have a chance.”

Even Murtha is showing that he is weak on terrorism. A statement like that says that he can be persuaded if the wind blows one way or another. This is a dangerous position to have. He's showing that he's willing to change his mind after a known threat has not been captured or killed.

But Rep. Diane Watson (D-Calif.), a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and a staunch opponent of the war in Iraq, said that it is time for the U.S. military to start leaving Afghanistan and the Middle East altogether.

“We are not securing America by being there,” she pressed. “The longer we are there, the more plots start growing in our country.”

Watson, who supported the war in Afghanistan, said that the military ought “to start leaving Afghanistan” and that the U.S. should allow Afghan officials to “formulate and run their own government.

We didn't have a guy in the entire country when we were attacked, so how is it that we're creating more problems for ourselves when we're putting pressure on them and killing or capturing them in spades?

MoveOn.org did not respond to repeated attempts for comment on the issue.

Of course they didn't, they're cowards who just like to blow hot air and not take the security of the nation seriously.

Meanwhile, several anti-war members, including Reps. Lynn Woolsey (D-Calif.), Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) and Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), stress that any troop withdrawal from Afghanistan is inextricably linked to the military’s first leaving Iraq.

Umm...no they aren't. Afghanistan and Iraq are two separate things, but working towards the same common goal: defeating terrorists.

“I’d like to get out of Iraq first and look at Afghanistan and if it does not work … we should be impatient,” Woolsey said, adding that she is not prepared to give a timeline for withdrawal. “There was a reason [for being] there, but now we really need to reassess what we are accomplishing. It depends on what our mission is in Afghanistan; if our mission is to find Osama bin Laden, that is one thing.

That's the ONLY thing you fucking moron. Finding and killing/capturing Al-Qaeda's main leadership is job #1. What the fuck do you think we're doing there?

A decision to leave Afghanistan before bid Laden is caught or killed would be seen by some as abandoning the U.S. effort to combat terrorism.

Well no shit. Of course it'll be seen as the US abandoning the terrorism effort because it IS abandoning the effort.

Yet Kucinich, a 2008 presidential candidate, said that withdrawal from Iraq would open a new policy direction in Afghanistan.

“Once we show that we can handle a successful resolution of withdrawing troops from Iraq, it will be easier to shift direction in Afghanistan,” said Kucinich. “There is a sequence of events … get out of Iraq and then we must focus on getting out of Afghanistan.

This is the exact reason why Kucinich has ZERO chance of being President. He doesn't want to find Osama, he doesn't want to stick it out to do what's right. He wants things to be quick and painless and that's not how the real world works.

I can't have a President who won't take terrorism seriously because when they don't, terrorism flourishes and we get a glimpse of their impotency first hand as we saw with Bill Clinton and September 11th.

Every time I say that Democrats have a well earned reputation for being spineless and weak against terrorism, I get a lot of hate mail from liberals telling me to take a look at this guy or that one who's for the war on terrorism who happens to be a Democrat. Then one of their own pulls some cowardly bullshit like this.

These particular Democrats are undermining the safety and security of America and they need to be called out on it. Especially when one's running for President.

You want to run like a coward, be my guest. But you're certainly not going to do it in a position of power and get away with it. Regardless of what you think, most of America is willing to make whatever sacrifices are necessary to capture or kill everyone involved in al-Qaeda.

Fucking morons.

Iranian Forces Crossing Iraqi Border?

According to sources, the Iranian Qud's forces have been crossing over into Iraq to make attacks against forces in Iraq.

It's all secret right now, but if true, it's an act of war that needs to be retaliated against swiftly, and severely. The Iranians have been poking their noses around for far too long and it's time it got bloodied up for it. I believe that they are hoping for an attack inside Iranian soil to rile up their population, but if they are found on Iraqi soil, capture, or kill them all and show the world what Iran's been up to.

This should end very well. I'm sure that people won't have a problem what so ever and that it will all be rainbows and sunshine. Cue the people wanting to cut heads off and riots in the streets. I wonder how it is that Jesus and Buddha and other religious figures can be made fun of and even shown in unfavorable light, and yet you don't hear a peep from those who follow that particular religion, but God forbid you make fun of a Islamic religious figure, Muslims go nuts and riot in the streets.

Odd behavior really.

Bomb Kills Iraqi Tribal Leaders

While this is normally a bad thing, there is one silver lining to this event. It shows that there are high level meetings going on right now to end sectarian violence on both sides. That means that progress is being made and contrary to what Democrats would like, Iraq is starting to come out of of it's darkest hour thanks to everyone's efforts.

Al Gore Places Blame On Scientists

Wow. Al, let me explain to you how science works. When scientists all agree on something, it's pretty much given as fact. When there isn't an agreement, it's generally considered a theory. Now, to blame scientists for your failings is pretty telling.

Blame others seems to be the message I'm getting. Al likes to blame George W. Bush for global warming, but a small little fact seems to be blocking that thought: During his tenure as vice president, America's carbon dioxide emissions shot up far faster than at any time in modern history - by 15 per cent, compared to just 1.65 per cent during President Bush's first term.

So Al, during the time when you were in office, when you and Bill Clinton were in charge, America's carbon dioxide shot up 15 percent in 8 years compared to 1.65 percent during 4 years during the first George W. Bush's term. Care to explain that fact away? Care to explain how your mansion in Tennessee is significantly less efficient then Bush's ranch in Texas? Care to explain how it is that we all must do something about our "carbon footprint", yet you fly around in private jets instead of taking commercial flights?

Stop blaming others Al, American's love someone who leads by example, not someone who gives out a "do as I say, not as I do" bullshit attitude.

Now, that being said, I do believe that global warming does exist and we do need to cut our pollution. I believe we should ask auto manufacturers to make a few cars that get unbelievable mileage (100mpg+) or are electric. But I won't lie to any of you, I own a sports car and a daily driver civic. When driven properly, I get almost 41mpg in my 2005 Civic EX. On bad days, I get around 32mpg.

My high performance CRX is lucky to get 9mpg. But that's the price that I pay for my love of the open road and performance. You don't see me yelling at others about how they should do this or that while I drive around getting 9mpg. By the way, one of the reasons why I only get 9mpg is because of A)the high horsepower engine, and B) the way I drive it. I very rarely have it below 7,000 rpm and generally have it in the high 8,000-low 9,000 rpm range. When I fire it up, I expect to pay an assload of money for the gas and I drive fast and hard. Of course, I haven't taken it out to drive like that in a very long time.

When I fire up my civic, that's a different story. I drive slow, safely draft larger vehicles, and do everything I can to squeeze every inch of mileage I can out of a gallon of gas.

Unbelievable Gall

Police and Firemen have a tough job. I think we can all agree on that right? They deal with situations that most people are too afraid or too weak to do. So when they manage to rescue a 75 year old woman from underneath a trapped SUV that's been underwater for almost 30 minutes and manage to revive her, you'd think they'd go home and have a good feeling in their hearts that they've saved someones Grandmother.

Well these guys did. Even the family went to ceremonies where the rescue workers were being honored.

Now they're all getting sued.

Within a year of that dramatic and courageous rescue, however, Connors' family sued the town, in part because it claimed rescuers didn't act quickly enough to save Connors. It named several local officials as defendants, including the first selectman and chief of police.

Today, the town remains mired in the complex and lengthy legal battle, which revolves around accusations by Connors' family that Saybrook Point was unsafe for cars and that the town should have had a trained dive team ready for such emergencies.

Ungrateful motherfuckers if you ask me. The poor old woman is in a nursing home with brain damage and these people saw what 24 hour care costs and they are suing because those they are suing have deep pockets.

About a year ago Connors' family offered to settle the lawsuit for $1 million. The town rejected their proposal.

See! I told you so. The town was correct in rejecting it. They can see through her monumental greed.

Calling Out The Bullshit

Ok, so if you're a reporter, your job is to "report". Now, there are literally millions of examples of bias in the news. Some slant left, others right. But generally your job is to report what happened, not why, or who's to blame, or any of that nonsense.

Regardless, reporters are real people with real political opinions. If you give money to a particular organization, then it should be know so people can make a judgment on your fairness in certain news stories.

No one who comes to this site thinks that it's another Daily Kos or some other liberal website. It's out there, in black and white, what this site's about. However, I do enjoy a bit of hypocracy, so here's a bit that you can nibble on:

One newspaper has dropped the syndicated column "The Ethicist" by New York Times writer Randy Cohen because of his donation to MoveOn.org, which he said he had thought of as "nonpartisan."

Ok, so who here actually believes that line of bullshit? On the FRONT PAGE of moveon.org's website you can plainly see that they are a liberal website. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it, that's their business. However, when Randy Cohen says that he thought his donation to moveon.org was "nonpartisan", he's either lying, or he's the biggest moron on the planet. Either way, it's not exactly the kind of guy you want writing for "The Ethicist" in the New York Times.

It's called "conflict of interest" for a reason. If I were working for a particular political figure and I didn't report that I was, everything I said about that person or their views would be subject to more scrutiny then usual. Am I saying these things because I believe them or am I saying them because I have a vested interest in the outcome?

Taliban Recruiting 6 Year Old Children

Taliban fighters forced him to wear a vest they said would spray out flowers when he touched a button. He said they told him that when he saw American soldiers, "throw your body at them."

A Taliban spokesman, Qari Yousef Ahmadi, denied the militant group uses child fighters, saying it has hundreds of adults ready for suicide missions.

"We don't need to use a child," Ahmadi told the AP by satellite phone. "It's against Islamic law, it's against humanitarian law. This is just propaganda against the Taliban."

He's right about one thing. It is against Islamic law. Do you know what that means? It means that Islamic folks are having nutjobs using their religion to justify attacks on American's and they are using children to accomplish it. The Taliban knows that adults, especially men, would raise suspicions, but children don't.

Tell me where any of this is justified? Any Muslims out there want to explain this away? Anyone want to tell me how it's "Allah's will" that children are involved in warfare? Come on out of the woodwork cowards and tell us all that tricking innocent children into killing themselves and others is an ok thing to do.

You simply can't. You'll be seen for the monsters that you really are if you do. Even Afghan tribal elders believe this boy's story, so don't bother giving me the crap of how it's propaganda. This is a sign of desperation. This is a sign that they are having problems with man power in attacks against Afghan and American forces. Otherwise we'd hear a lot more about their successful attacks wouldn't we?

American's Give More Then Anyone To Charity

Yet, American's are viewed with mistrust across the world in areas where we've given aid. For example, why are we giving aid to Iran when they had an earthquake that killed 80,000 people? Because it's the right thing to do. How do we get repaid for our generosity? With threats by the Iranian President.

Even in the article it states we give more in terms of absolute dollars as well as a percentage of our GDP. I'm now saying that those who receive our aid should pay us back as if it were a loan, I'm just saying that it would be nice if those who received our aid said "those American's aren't so bad after all. Perhaps we were wrong to condemn them all this time".

Would you give a homeless guy a few bucks for food if he kept calling you "the great satan" or called you names left and right? Of course not, so why should we help those who don't appreciate it?

Hell Has Frozen Over

The House voted today to cut off all foreign aid to Saudi Arabia.

"By cutting off aid and closing the loophole we send a clear message to the Saudi Arabian government that they must be a true ally in advancing peace in the Middle East," said Rep. Anthony Weiner, a New York Democrat.

"Saudi Arabia propagates terrorism. We all know that 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers were Saudi," said Rep. Shelley Berkley, a Nevada Democrat. She added that Saudi youths had entered Iraq to "wage jihad" against U.S. forces fighting there.

Lawmakers also complained that with Saudi Arabia's vast wealth from oil revenues, U.S. taxpayers do not need to subsidize training Saudis.

"With poor countries all over the globe begging us for help, why are we giving money to this oil-rich nation?" Berkley said.

These are DEMOCRATS making these statements. That's like me telling you how you should all vote for Hillary. It's simply a mind boggling event that I'm glad these two Democrats have come about to think. Saudi Arabia has been a flaky friend at best. At times, they can be very helpful and forthcoming about many things. But on the flip side, state sponsored schools teach violent jihad against Americans and Jews.

But they do have a valid point. If the Saudi's want to be true friends, then let them show it. And the American taxpayer shouldn't have to fund it either.

Democrats Distancing Themselves From Michael Moore's New Film

You mean to tell me that because Michael Moore hand picks his statements and tries to manipulate the circumstances that Democrats might have a problem with his misleading, almost lying on camera?

Well, they didn't have a problem with it for Fahrenheit 9/11 because it attacked George W. Bush. But they do have a problem with it now when the subject is something that they are directly responsible for and can actually do something about. Now it's a totally different ballgame to Democrats. That's How Australia Rolls

A new report states that Iran had come up against Australian troops boarding a ship for inspections with heavily armed speedboats like they did with the British when they took the British sailors hostage a few months ago. The only difference was that the Australians took cover on the ship, aimed their weapons at the Iranians and "made "very overt gestures''.

Now, I'm not going to say that the British were wrong and the Australians were right. You never know how things were at the moment in time when each incident happened. But it does show you that the Iranian government is trying to pull some shenanigans against boat patrols to flex it's military muscle.

I do notice though that they don't pull this bullshit with US Navy boats. Perhaps they know we'd slaughter them in an instant and do it with overwhelming firepower? Perhaps they are too chicken to do so and think that Britain and Australia are easier targets? Or it could be blind luck. Maybe they've only come across British and Australian boats. Regardless of the circumstances, I am glad that the Australians let them know who's boss in that situation, because it let's the Iranians know that if they want a fight, they'll get one.

Hopeful News - Part 2

It appears that North Korea's nuclear weapons program may shut down within three weeks if North Korea doesn't pull any shenanigans.

In his interview with CNN, Hill warned that there was still a "long process" ahead, but added that he believes North Korea will do what's needed to fully dismantle the facility.

"The actual disabling, where you break it and it can't be brought back online, we're talking about a few months to get that step done."

So within a few months, barring any underhanded bullshit from North Korea or their ally Iran, their nuclear program will be shut down completely, and permanently. This is all the while without having to fire a shot or kill anyone. Isn't this what Nancy Pelosi called hypocracy on the Bush administrations part for the proposed amendment to her traveling to terrorist supporting nations? Hmm...makes me wonder what's on the horizon for Iran.

68 Al-Qaeda Militants Dead

There's even reports of various things going right in Iraq. You'd think that the new way of thinking and the additional troops are starting to work. You'd start to think that Harry Reid was full of shit when he said "the war is lost".

Army Lt. Gen. Ray Odierno, commander of the Multinational Corps-Iraq, said on Friday that three developments suggest progress for U.S.-led troops in Iraq.

  • Attacks in Ramadi, where insurgents have long had a strong presence in what is the Sunni-dominated provincial capital, are at a two-year low, he said.
  • "Large-scale ... car and truck bombs are down because Iraqi security forces are doing their job," Odierno said.
  • Tribal and former insurgent groups are "reaching out to us and we are reaching back. They want to fight al Qaeda, and we think they can help us."

Amendment To Limit Nancy Pelosi's Travel

There's an amendment put out by Republican Steve King that would prohibit Nancy Pelosi from using tax payer funds to go to terrorist nations such as Syria and Iran.

This amendment may not go anywhere, but it is important because the issue was raised in the Senate about Pelosi's inappropriate behavior in dealing with rogue nations.

Of course, she's trying to deflect blame:

A spokesman for Pelosi brushed off the amendment as a partisan attack.

“How can anyone take this amendment seriously, especially when it comes on the same day that Bush Administration officials are in North Korea? And why would anyone think it is responsible to restrict the ability of the Speaker of the House to bring the concerns of the American people to foreign leaders? It is part of the Speaker’s job,” said spokesman Nadeam Elshami, a spokesman for Pelosi. “This amendment is a cheap political stunt that just won’t fly.

Officials are in North Korea because they are finishing up the agreement between them and North Korea about their nuclear weapons program. IT'S THEIR JOB! Plus, people want to restrict your ability because A) it's not your job, and B) you screwed up messages that were sent from both sides of the fence between Israel and Syria. You're liable to fuck up more things and send mixed signals to nations that need to hear only one message.

It's not a "cheap political stunt" if you're fucking things up and it's not your job. Just like it wouldn't be right if I came into your office and started doing your job (although lately it seems like just about anyone could do your job since you've accomplished basically ZERO since the November 2006 elections)

Pakistanian Clerics Fosters Peace And Good Will

Nah, just kidding. After the whole "knighting Salman Rushie" bit, they decided to bestow Osama Bin Laden with the title of "Saifullah", which loosely translated means "cocksucker in the sights of the American government".

Here's the part that gets me:

The group, which says it is working for religious harmony, urged President Pervez Musharraf to call an emergency meeting of the 57-member Organisation of the Islamic Conference to press Britain to withdraw the Rushdie accolade.

Right....you're working for "religious harmony", yet you take something done to you and turn it into something you need to seek revenge for. I'm not saying you have to be all cozy up to people, but don't bullshit everyone and claim that you want "religious harmony" then bestow an award on someone who murdered 3,000 people.

Salman Rushdie insulted your prophet in your eyes (I don't know for sure as I've never read the book), so you think it's equal to insult the worlds citizens by honoring Bin Laden? Yeah good luck with that "religious harmony" bullshit you're trying to sell to everyone.

    But there's an added twist:

A comment piece in Britain's Daily Telegraph said that if Pakistan was so angry about the issue, it should return the STG480 million ($A1.14 billion) in aid promised by Prime Minister Tony Blair last year.

“If this is tainted money, it can presumably be returned,” it said.

But in the Pakistani Parliament Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, the President of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League party, said that Mr Blair was “personally and mentally against Muslims”.

They have a point. If they are so enraged by this, then they shouldn't take the money. But that won't happen because they're hypocrites who'll gladly take money from "infidels".

Dick Cheney Needs To Read The Constitution

Now, everyone here knows I support Bush and Cheney on many issues, however, I think Cheney needs to take a look at the Constitution before he makes dumb statements like this.

The Office of Vice President Dick Cheney told an agency within the National Archives that for purposes of securing classified information, the Vice President's office is not an 'entity within the executive branch' according to a letter released Thursday by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

Section 1. The executive power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his office during the term of four years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same term, be elected, as follows:

There ya go buddy, now you won't have to worry about making dumb statements like that again. But just for the record, so you know. There's three branches of the Federal Government. The executive, the legislative, and the judicial. Here's a picture in case you're confused by all the large words Cheney.

We Have Two Cowards In The Senate

So if a leader of a country calls for the destruction of another, that's against international law. The Senate voted yesterday to ask the UN to hold Iranian President Ahmadinejad responsible for his comments and charge him with a crime. The vote was 411-2-11-8.

Those who voted against? Kucinich and Paul. Two Presidential candidates. If they don't have the balls to stand up against someone calling for genocide against another country, they certainly shouldn't be the leader of this nation.

Think about that for a moment. If they won't hold someone responsible for their threats, who's to say how they'd react against threats to the United States? They aren't willing to hold a guy who has repeatedly called for the destruction of Israel, who's actively seeking nuclear weapons, for his threats.

Senate Committee Approves Taxes On Oil Companies

You can bet your sweet ass that this'll make gas prices rise like crazy. $29 BILLION in new taxes or tax cut removals won't be coming out of the pockets of oil companies, they'll be coming out of your pocket. However, I want some accountability on the part of Congress to actually take that money and use it towards alternative fuels. I want all electric cars to become more prevalent on the roads. I want hydrogen cars to be on the horizon, not just prototypes.

I want solar/wind power options on new or existing homes. I'm currently looking at solar for my home as it makes more sense then wind at my location. If politicians are serious about getting off of foreign energy sources, then we need to make a real, 100% effort, not just some sound bite, feel good legislation that only accomplishes to take more money out of your pocket because oil companies pass on the taxes onto you.

So let's roll up our collective sleeves, give new ideas a shot, even if they are off the wall ones. Rethink how we get around, how we heat and cool our homes, how we commute to work. This is the greatest nation on earth and we've adapted when faced with monumental problems, this one is no different.

Wife Of MIA Soldier To Be Deported?

This is the one part of illegal immigration that I side with the immigrants with. If someone comes to this country and is willing to join the military and fight and possibly die for the US, I think that after the military service is up and they get an honorable discharge, they automatically get American citizenship for them and their immediate family (wife, children, etc.)

If that person serving is killed in action, then the family still gets the citizenship. That really says something loudly if someone is willing to come to a country and fight for that country. When was the last time that you heard Hollywood types when they said they would move to Canada if Bush won the election that they would join the Canadian military? Oh that's right, they didn't. They didn't even have the God damned nerve to actually move. It was all bullshit to drum up votes.

Army Spec. Alex Jimenez, who has been missing since his unit was attacked by insurgents in Iraq on May 12, had petitioned for a green card for his wife, Yaderlin, whom he married in 2004, Boston's WBZ-TV reported Tuesday.

If Mr. Jiminez's body is found or he's found alive and is honorably discharged, the most honorable thing to do would be to give citizenship to him and his wife. "We're sorry for everything you've gone through, but welcome to America".

When was the last time any of you actually did something to defend this country or to make it a better place to live? Tell me! Reply to my article below, tell me how you're making this place a better place to live for you and your family.

China - I Told You So

I told you that Chinese civilians were starting to get pissed about the "Great Firewall of China". Now that CNN has finally gotten on the ball, you're starting to see articles about ordinary Chinese civilians getting pissed that they are being told what they can and can't see/read/do on the Internet.

Listen CNN, stop reading my site and taking my articles. At least have the common courtesy to link to my posts and give me credit. Of course, that's just my own ego talking. I'm sure they've got a crack team of reporters researching every topic in the world.......damn I almost said that with a straight face. :)

    Anger At Civilian Deaths

Well at least they were kind enough to include the Taliban for hiding amongst them when they started placing blame. However, they aren't handing Taliban/Al-Qaeda members over as quickly as they should. If we have no reason to believe that they are hiding amongst the civilian population, then we have no reason to drop bombs or run a raid against them.

Perhaps they would have liked it more when a good portion of the American public wanted to drop nuclear weapons on Afghanistan right after 9/11 like I did. At least had I been President, I would have given the Taliban 12 hours to hand over Bin Laden and his thugs or point them out to us, or THEN they get a nuke dropped on them.

Sure it would have killed thousands of innocent people, but I was angry enough at the time where I didn't care. Had we done it, I don't know if I would have cared to this day. You can bet if we had, Iraq and Iran and North Korea would have a COMPLETELY different outlook towards the United States. In the back of their minds they would be thinking "America isn't fucking around anymore, maybe we should cut the bullshit".

But that was then and this is now. The United States does more to avoid civilian casualties then any other nation on earth. What do you suppose the reaction would be if we took a scorched earth policy?

I'm not saying that a civilian death doesn't mean anything. We take as much care as possible to insure that that doesn't happen, but unfortunately, this is war and in war, bad things happen.

    Ross Perot - Part 2

Michael Bloomberg announced today that he's leaving the Republican party after 6 years, and the previous years before that in the Democratic party. He's now an independent. He's made statements that lead everyone to believe that he's thinking of running for President.

However, it's an uphill battle as Ross Perot can attest to. Yes, you can become a world class Presidential candidate with enough money, but the question is, can he sway voters towards him? Or will he merely sway voters away from one political party over another?

    Palestinian Infighting Getting Worse

It appears that battle lines are being drawn up around the world in the Fatah/Hamas breakup, and Fatah is winning hands down.

He ruled out any talks with Hamas "traitors" who "conducted a coup against legitimacy."

"They do not deserve to be involved in any dialogue," Abbas said. "There will be no dialogue with Hamas no matter what."

That's what they all say at the beginning of a conflict. However, as time passes, we'll see if he actually adheres to those words. Granted, I'm no fan of Fatah, but if they can destroy Hamas, I'm all for it.

    I'm Moving To New York

If New Yorker's are going to start paying homeless people for things that you and I do on a regular basis, then I'm moving and saying I'm "homeless".

    Take a gander at this:

Poor residents will be rewarded for good behavior - like $300 for doing well on school tests, $150 for holding a job and $200 for visiting the doctor - under an experimental anti-poverty program that city officials detailed Monday.

So for just HOLDING A JOB, a person would get $150 a month. Well I already have a job, does that mean I'm going to get that same $150 a month? Or does that just apply to people who didn't pay attention in school and won't get off their asses and better themselves? I did very well in school (Calculus by 10th grade...got an A), and you know what I got for it? I got to have a better job, make better wages, and live more comfortably then those who didn't.

This is what's wrong with America today. People love playing the victim and want to just give away funds that could go towards better things. If people don't like being poor, they get a Pell grant and go to college and get a better job. If they don't like being homeless, they go to a shelter and get fed. I'm sick and tired of people who have the "poor me" attitude when the only person who's responsible for their predicament is them.

I didn't always live well. I went to college with holes in my shoes and rode the city bus for 2 hours one way. I studied my ass off, got good grades, and got a career going. I saved my money, bought a condo, and lived under my means. I never begged for money. I never took out a loan that I never paid back.

If I can do it, anyone can. It has NOTHING to do with your race, religion, creed, or sexual orientation. This is America. You want to live a good life? You earn it. Work hard, pay attention in class, work well under pressure, work smarter then your peers, and you can have the largest house with the best cars and the finest women in the world. All it takes is initiative and drive. You don't have initiative and drive? You don't get jack.

    Jimmy Carter Offers Wisdom

Well we should simply not take the side of Fatah over Hamas! So I guess that means that good old Jimmy would take the side of Hamas then? He even has the nerve to say that the Bush administration not accepting the Hamas led government as "criminal".

Would you like to talk about "criminal" Mr. Carter? How about allowing a hostage situation to go longer then a year? How about giving away the Panama canal that we owned? How about the dismal failure of your administration? You mean to tell me that if a country elected Al-Qaeda as their government it would be criminal to not recognize that group?

    You're a fucking moron Carter.

    CNN Finally Takes Notice

Hey thanks for vindicating my last several months of rallying against Democrats who promised everything but delivered nothing. Way to get on the ball CNN.

When Democrats regained control of Congress last fall, they promised to create the most honest, open Congress in history.

"We will bring transparency and openness to the budget process and to the use of earmarks," Speaker-elect Nancy Pelosi said in December 2006, "and we will give the American people the leadership they deserve."

Democrats said that Republicans had corrupted the earmark process while they controlled Congress.

This is what I've been saying sine just after Democrats came to power. I've shown you all the hypocracy that Democrats have shown towards what they promised on the campaign trail, but failed to deliver. I wonder if I can yell at the CNN news people for stealing my thunder. :)

    Democrats Ripping Into One Another

Well at least Obama is taking my advice. He's ripping into other Democratic candidates over their stance on the Iraq war.

"We knew back then this war was a mistake," Obama said in a rousing speech frequently interrupted by applause. "We knew back then that it was dangerous diversion from the struggle against the terrorists who attacked us on September 11th."

Of course it's easy to say that now. Yes, there's evidence that he was against the Iraq war from the beginning, but he was lucky enough not to have been put into a position where he was made to make a choice for war or not.

But that doesn't matter. What matters is how he can portray that feeling of being against the war to votes from the most liberal of voters. With an 11% deficit to make up against Hillary, he surely needs anything he can get to get the Democratic Nomination.

    Heroes Fall

When you run away from a fire, man with a gun, or have a heart attack, special people come to your aid. You hope one day that you never have to meet these people while they are on the job. You hope you only meet them in a social setting.

I know I've had to meet these people "on the job" more than once and sometimes it's terrifying. You never think of these people because you don't hear about them in your regular, everyday life. However, there are times when you hear about them because they died doing things that others won't or can't do.

Unfortunately, this is one of those times. Nine firefighters were killed today after the roof of a warehouse collapsed upon them. Here are the names of the fallen:

    Capt. William "Billy" Hutchinson

    Capt. Mike Benke

    Capt. Louis Mulkey

    Engineer Mark Kelsey

    Engineer Bradford "Brad" Baity

    Assistant engineer Michael French

    Firefighter James "Earl" Drayton

    Firefighter Brandon Thompson

    Firefighter Melven Champaign

So the next time you hear a siren, think about the men and women who are racing to save those in need. They will gladly race to save you, and it's only right to remember that for the society we live in to run smoothly, we need heroes.

    I'm Disgusted - Part 2

So I'm driving into work this morning and I'm noticing traffic is a bit heavier then normal. So I assume there's an accident or some people are rubber necking something on the other side of the freeway. Traffic is slow for about 5 or so miles, and when I get to the source of the problem, there's a US Army Hummer off to the side of the road broken down.

No one bothered to help these soldiers. No one pulled over to see if they needed assistance, nothing. So since no one else would, I pull over and hand them my cell phone and let them call their Commanding Officer. We exchange pleasantries and they thank me for my phone and I thank them for their service (nice bunch of folks really), but it irritates me that there was traffic for MILES and no one thought to pull over to help these people.

Granted I work in one of the most liberal city in the nation, but you'd think that if people would actually "support the troops", they'd actually do something when they can help someone in need. I guess not.

    From The "Really?" Files

Iran has complained to the UN over Israel's threat for military action if nothing is done about Iran's nuclear program.

"I wish to inform you that, emboldened by the absence of any action by the Security Council, various Israeli officials have unabatedly continued to publicly and contemptuously make unlawful and dangerous threats of resorting to force against the Islamic Republic of Iran," Zarif said in the letter to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, dated June 11. He also sent a copy to the president of the Security Council.

Sooooo....what about the whole "wipe Israel off the map" bit from your President? Is that not "unlawful and dangerous"? What about your support for Hezbollah, which in it's charter, calls for the destruction of Israel?

This is a classic example of redirection. They know they are in a corner over their nuclear program and they are trying to deflect attention away from their nuclear program and the inevitable sanctions that will follow.

Zarif faulted the council for not condemning the statements and "for pushing for statements against Iran based on various distortions and unsubstantiated allegations ... in a failed attempt and tired smokescreen to distract the international community's attention from the real and serious threats that the (Israeli) regime poses to international and regional peace and security."

See? I told you so. :) So what's the "real" issue? A country saying "hey, they have a covert nuclear weapons factory going and if you don't do something about it, we will" or the country that is covertly trying to make nuclear weapons?

    I'm Disgusted

You'd think after the billions in aid and the massive reconstruction that's going on in Iraq, you wouldn't have stories like these. Our soldiers on patrol found an orphanage where the children were chained to cribs and left to wallow in their own filth and starve. All the while, the kitchen and offices were filled to the brim with clothes and food.

"I got extremely angry with the caretaker when I got there," Capt. Benjamin Morales said. "It took every muscle in my body to restrain myself from not going after that guy."

Feel free to go after him Captain Morales, no one here would blame you for giving him a beating. Hell, the Iraqi's wouldn't blame you for giving him a beating. But you're a better man then I am, I would have gone after him.

    Email Considered Private

I actually didn't believe it when I read that Email up until recently wasn't considered "reasonably private". The courts have ruled though that email users should "reasonably expect" emails to be private and that the government needs a warrant to read them.

I should hope so! When I write to a person, I expect that that person, and only that person will read it. Maybe share it with a spouse or someone in the house, but not have the government snoop on it without a warrant. It's one thing if the government has reason to believe that a terrorist attack or a crime is about to be committed. It's quite another for the government to break the law as the FBI is shown to have done almost 1,000 times since 9/11 according to their own internal audit.

If the people who's privacy was shown to be invaded and they were innocent of any crime sued, the FBI would be broke in no time flat. Say an average settlement is $1 million, then roughly 1/2 of the people who's privacy was invaded were innocent of any crime, that's $500 million dollars in FBI screwups.

That's a lot of money, I don't care who you are.
